Friday sketchers 54

Friday Sketchers 54. I haven't done many boy cards lately so I thought I would make another. Having two boys I should be making more but I haven't got a lot of masculine stamps but seeing I recently got some Edwin's I thought I would do one today. Of course I followed the sketch. Haven't changed it at all really. Hope you like.

Hope we are all having a great weekend. We just got home from my besties place for the kids to have a play and to have some dinner. The kids are all tucked into bed now and are sound asleep. Love going and visiting people as the kids always get so worn out.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Bit o' bling

This week at Cute Card Thursday the theme/challenge is a Bit o' bling. Seeing it is winter here in Australia I thought I would make a christmas card with my new Miss Anya from the Greeting Farm. I love the new Rain, Snow, Shine stamps. They are just so damn sassy. Anyway - all the fur on her is covered in Kindyglitz but the lighting here is so bad today that you can't see it that well and I have added a drop to the centre of the snowflakes on the DSP. A couple of Kaiser rhinestones finish it off. Hope you like.

Products: The Greeting Farm stamp; memento ink; SU Whisper White card; K&Company Christmas card pack; MM Snowflake floked vellum; markers; Delish sentiment; Kindyglitz; Kaisercraft rhinestones.

Poppin Pastels

I thought I would give Poppin Pastels a go last night. It is my first go and even though it didn't quite turn out the way I wanted it still worked out really well. I first did the stems in Old Olive and the flowers in real read so I was going to do an Old Olive and Real red card but the red went into the olive so I ended up swiping Brilliant Blue over the top and the flowers looked like Rose red so hence I have done a Rose red and Old Olive card. I like it except I didn't stick down the ribbon right so you can see the bottom of the stems on the upper right. No matter. Once again I used the Upsy Daisy stamp set. As you probably guessed this is a Stampin' Up only card.
Products: Stamp: Upsy Daisy set
Card: Old Olive, Rose Red
Ink: Versamark, Old Olive
Other: Rose Red & Old Olive ribbon; Pastels; Sponge dabbers; Dimensional dots; Double sided tape.

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge

Good arvo everyone. Hope we are all well.
At Tilda and Friends ATC Challenge this week we have to use more than one character. Hmmm this again was challenging. It is very hard to squeeze one onto an ATC let alone 1+ so I did my Ketto stamps by Stamping Bella. They are the perfect size for ATC's. I had to cut their feet off a little but you get the idea.

Products: Stamping Bella Ketto stamps; Memento ink; SU whisper white card; Markers; SU In the Stars & Cheep talk stamps (heart and star); SU Gold embossing powder; Versamark ink; Gold gel pen; SU groovy guava tag.

These are the beautiful cards that my kids made me this morning for my birthday. The little one my little girl made. Ain' t it cute. She is so sweet. LOL. I stamped the Edwin stamps for the boys and they had a ball 'colouring' them in. Hahaha. My little man Tyler used a really dark colour so you can't really see the the picture.

For a 17 month old I think my little girl did a good job. LOL.

Stamp with fun #8

Good arvo (nearly evening here). Hope we all had a good day. I certainly did, being my birthday and all. LOL.

Stamp with fun #8. A sketch this week for the challenge. Did I tell you how much I love sketches...???? Lots....!!!!! Great sketch. I just had to use one of my new Miss Anya's that I got from The Greeting Farm yesterday - for my birthday. So here it is. Hope you like it.

More cards to come (hopefully) later today if I get a chance to make some more - depends on what Hubby wants to do tonight. Getting a beautiful roast chicken cooked for me for dinner and hopefully I will be able to relax and do some of the much needed cardmaking. Enjoy the rest of your day everyone.

Happy Birthday to Me

Happy Birthday to me, Happy birthday to me happy bithday happy birthday - happy birthday to me. Hip hip hooray.....!!!!!! LOL. Gosh it really doesn't feel like my birthday even though my lovely hubby allowed me to have a sleep in (he took the day off) and the kids all made me a card each - even my 17mth old little miss made me a card (with some help). I will cherish them all (the handmade cards that is). I got some of the new Miss Anya's from TGF in the mail yesterday so that is part of my present. The other part is two sets of Nesties which I probably won't get until next week - but that is okay. Hope you all have a lovely day. Some time today I am going to have some much needed ME time. Will probably just go out and get a coffee and sit and relax and not have to worry about rushing home coz I need to do things.

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #13

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #13 - Under the Sea. Gosh this was certainly a challenge but in a good way. I have been getting lots of tips from Michelle at Just Painting Around and the background on this is from her. As soon as I saw the title of the challenge I knew I had to give the beach and the horizon a go. Oh and I just love the whale. Hehehe. He is so darn cute. He is from Dustin Pike - oh and the drink is too. How cool are they. The palm tree I had to draw myself and it didn't really work out as well as I had hoped but it will do.

Hope you like.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Apart from this card I haven't done any cardmaking this weekend. Been spending time with the kids out in the sunshine (while it lasts) and hubby and I had a quiet night together last night. We needed to spend some quality time together as we have both been so preoccupied at night that we are neglecting each other. Hope you forgive me.

Just Magnolia - Let's get in shape

Just Magnolia Week 6
What a way to really think outside the box. Make a shaped card but it can't be a square or (I suppose) a rectangle either. Hmmmm.....!!!! As soon as I saw this I had to do a mushroom that I got a template for from Paper Crafts magazine -October 2008 issue. Don't you just love it. I had to do it. LOL. Hope you like. sorry about the quality of the photo but most of my photos are taken at night when my kids are in bed and they can tend to look a little washed out.

Products: Magnolia stamp; memento ink; Touch and Prismacolor markers; SU Upsy Daisy stamp (sentiment); SU Close to Cocoa marker; K&Co Wild Raspberry DSP; SU Mellow Moss; Bazzill card; MME buttons; embroidary thread.

One for the boys

Dare you to digi stamp Friday Challenge. One for the boys. I always have trouble with boy cards but this one was easy with the brilliant digi stamps from Dustin Pike. These stamps were just released and I love them. Oh my gosh the party animals are just so damn cute. Dustin is such a great artist. The wood floor is from the talented Michelle aka Just Painting Around. It was free so if you are interested pop on over and get it for yourself. Michelle also has the best techniques and she shares them all - clouds, snow, beaches - she is great at them all.

Products: Dustin Pike digi stamps; Michelle's digi floor; SU Washington Apple DSP; SU In the Stars stamp; SU So Saffron card; SU Tangerine Tango ink; Copic and Touch markers.

Grandma & Nanna

Hey beautiful ladies. Just thought I would post some more of my scrapbooking pages. I have so many of Tyler (my eldest) and need to share. As I said previously, unfortunately the flash played havoc with the pictures but I don't have the time to take photos in the daylight ATM. Maybe soon. LOL. Hope you like. Most of the products on these two pages are K&Co Amy Butler papers and stickers except for the Heidi Swapp chipboard letters. As you can see I was not that big on journalling - I always made the photo the centrepiece. Getting better at the journalling now though.

There is some great prizes up for grabs so make a Celebration card to celebrate their first birthday.

Tilda and Friends ATC Challenge - Make Your Own Background

Tilda and Friends ATC Challenge - Make Your Own Background. Oh I had fun making this ATC. I have had the trees from Magnolia for a while now but not used them for anything so it was great to finally use them. I have also had Lille Skeete for ages too but I bought it for easter - unfortunately I didn't get it in the mail until after Easter so I haven't used it yet. Woo hoo. So happy I could use for something. My ATC. Hmmm I stamped the trees on a 2.5 x 3.5" piece of card and airbrushed the sky in. The grass was just coloured in with copics. The grass line were drawn in with fineliner pen and the clouds were made by using my blender pen and taking the colour out of the sky. The bunny was cut out and stuck on with dimensional dots. The birds were also drawn with fineliner. Phew. That was a biggy. LOL. Hope you like.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well it is the afternoon here in Melbourne. My boys are at daycare so it is just the little miss and myself. She is sleeping ATM so onto the computer to post the ATC and hopefully I can make another card whilst she is asleep. I have been making cards but can't post them. Shhhhhh it's a secret. LOL. Hope we all have a great day.

Combined challenge

Good evening everyone. I have combined three challenges this today. One way of getting some out of the way. Okay - to the right is a sketch from The Sugar Bowl. Apart from having to follow the sketch, you also need to use a Sugar Nellie stamp - so I used my Gorjuss Girl from Set 2. The second challenge is from Colour Create - colours being Sky Blue, Tan & Ecru. And the third challenge is from Stamp with Fun which is Shabby/Vintage. So here is my card. Hope you like it.

We had a great weekend here. The kids were able to go outside as it was nice and sunny but the nights are just so cold. I hate winter but at least we don't get snow here in Melbourne - at least not out my way. The kids just go stir crazy when they are cooped up inside. Oh well not a long time but I do hope we get lots of rain this year - we certainly need it.

Friday Sketchers 52

I decided I really needed to do a Stampin' Up only card as I have been doing a lot of everything else lately. I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers by the very talented Claudia Rosa. I had a very hard time with the Trendy Trees. Even using the Stamp-a-ma-jig I got it wrong a couple of times so this is the third attempt. LOL. I love this stamp set. I used the Good Morning Sunshine DSP. So bright and retro. Hope you like my take on the sketch. I did turn it around so I could do the Trendy trees.

Products: Trendy Trees stamp set; Kiwi Kiss textured card; Pacific Point card; Good Morning Sunshine DSP; Tangarine Tango, Pacific Point, So Saffron, Kiwi Kiss & Chocolate Chip ink; Funky Forest wheel; Versamark ink; making memories Slice machine and DC1; BasicGrey Lime Rickey buttons; SAMJ; Old Olive marker:

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #12

MDUC #12 - Butterflies. I was going to use my Butterfly Tilda but decided that I would do something different. After the image was stamped I masked her and used my Copic Air Brush and B21 marker to do a sky in the background. I love this paper. It is by Imaginisce - called Twitterpated. So cute. I have seen it around heaps and finally managed to get my hands on some. I also used my new Nesties - didn't realise until it was stuck down but I used the wrong one for the middle - was going to use the same as the one on the front. No matter. Even though this weeks challenge hasn't been posted just yet I have been stalking the DT's blogs and they have posted already so I thought I would too. Hope you like.

products: Magnolia stamp; Memento Tuxedo black ink; Nesties; Cuttlebug; Imaginisce paper; SU Riding Hood Red textured card; MME paper; SU Coral Cameo card; Kaisercraft butterfly stamp; SU So saffron, Pixie Pink & Real Red ink; SU Basic phrases stamp; Copic markers; Copic Air Brush system; natural sting.

Inspiration Award

Once again I have been truly blessed and I got this gorgeous award from Rowena aka craftypagan. Thanks darling I feel truly loved. Please go check out Rowena's blog - she makes the most beautiful cards and to make it even better she is a beautiful person.

I am sure in true blog style I have to give this to five people which is the norm, however I have chosen to give to just a couple of people - Sue, Cheryl & Tammy. I would love to give this award to everyone that inspire me - and that is everyone. If you feel like this I am sure you can grab up this award and pass it around. Love you all.

Missmatch

Yesterday I went to the Picture to Page craft show here in Melbourne and picked up this gorgeous little stamp by Stamping Bella. It is from the Ketto range - her name is Missmatch. So cute. They are so tiny so I only made a card 4x4" so she didn't look quite so small. I must admit that it is harder doing a smaller card as there is less room to put things on. So I left it very plain. Unfortunately there is something wrong with my sewing machine and won't sew :( so I couldn't sew it like I wanted. Nevermind. I still like the way it turned out. She is just so damn cute. I bought her from HeavenScent. Hope you like.
Now I bet you are wondering why I have a photo of a Cuttlebug and some Nesties - well you guessed it - I purchased this at Picture to Page. So rapt. Now I have to get my hands on some more Nesties. Woot woot.

Hope we have a great day. I will be back later to post an award I received from Rowena. Thanks darling.

Products: Stamping Bella Ketto stamp; Memento Tuxedo Black ink; copic markers; K&Co Amy Butler paper; SU Pixie Pink, Whipser White and Soft Sky (retired) card; recycled ribbon; buttons from around house.

My sweet Tyler

Yep more scrapbooking LO's. I am probably going to do two - three per day just so I can show you my style. I love love love the Dreams LO. It is one of my favourite photos of Tyler and it takes up (as you can see) most of the 12x12" page but that is the way I wanted it. My precious little Tyler. He was so little. Hard to believe he was ever that small when you look at him now. Makes me a little sad as I don't want them to grow up :( LOL. I am such a sook. Hope you like.

sorry but have no idea what products I used on these pages.
