The Pink Elephant & WOYWW

Morning everyone. Hope we are all well. I have a house full of sick kids. My gosh I can't wait until they are all better. I really don't like cleaning up the poos and spews and it just keeps coming. Ahhhhhh....!!! It is doing my head in.

Anyway - thought I would do a What's on your workdesk Wednesday post. Not very exciting as always - I actually cleaned up my table somewhat yesterday so it was messy yesterday, maybe I should have done the photo then LOL. Here it is.

Thought I would make a card with the Oh Boy, Ian stamp I got from TGF for the Card for a Stamp Swap. He is so darling. Great to colour. I always struggle with boy cards but think I just need to more of them. The Pink Elephant are showcasing cards made with ribbon so thought I would whack one together as well.

Anything goes with Tilda

Good morning everyone. It is Thursday so it is my Mad for Markers post day. I must admit I did colour up this stamp a few weeks back waiting for this challenge but only just used the sketch over at Friday Sketchers to create the card. It took me a while to find the DP to go with the colours on this. Unfortunately the bluey-grey of these BV markers do not match a lot but I found the perfect one from Kaisercraft.

I have used the 352gsm card with this card and OMG I am so in love with this card. If you haven't already preordered your card you 'need' to do it now. It is perfect card to use Copics with - it really does blend better than the thinner card. If you use Papertrey ink card than you will love this (hint hint Alleena). LOL.

Anyway a list of colours are at the bottom.

Markers used:
Skin: E000, 00, 21, 02
Hair: YR20, 21, E08
Dress/shoes: BV20, 23, 25, 29, R12, 14, 17
Shading: B0000, B000; G1, blender

Products used: Magnolia stamp; Kaisercraft DP; SU card; SU flowers; beads; thread; AC ribbon; Ezybow

MDUC #76

Good morning everyone. Wow what a silly season it is indeed. I just can't get over how many people are at the shops on the weekend. It is so crazy. If they were smart like me they would have got their Christmas shopping done ages ago - but alas they aren't and are leaving to the last minute. I can't even go to the shops and buy something that is not for Xmas. Crazy I tell ya.

Anyway enough of my ramble. I have finally made a card for Magnolia Down Under Challenge. It has been nearly a year since I left and haven't entered a challenge :( My Magnolia's just weren't appealing to me for a while there but last night I decided I needed to use one of my new Christmas stamps for the new colour Challenge at MDUC. The colour challenge is to use: Red, Brown and Cream on your card. So here is my take on the challenge.

Enjoy your day.
Products: Magnolia stamp from Tickled Pink Stamps; Spellbinders Frame die; Kaisercraft DP; SU card; Memento Rich Cocoa ink; SU ribbon; I am Roses flowers; Antique Linen distress ink; Copic markers used- Skin; E000, E00, E21, E02; Dress/hair: E50, E51, E53, E55, Blender; Socks/Wings: R11, R12, R14, R17; Wand: YR12, YR14, E08, E59, E49; Dress trim: E57, E59, E55.

Kat Mandu & Friends

Wow can you believe it is nearly the end of the year. Eeeeekkkk....!!!!! Christmas is well and truly on it's way and you can certainly tell with all the gorgeous decorations up in the shops.

Over at Simply Betty Stamps we have a wonderful new release for you called 'Kat Mandu & Friends'. The gorgeous talented Gretchen Flores who designed the fabulous Victorian Beauties also created these super cool images. You must check out the Simply Betty Challenges blog for the DT's inspiring creations.

-------------------------------------------------------
Now I absolutely love Christmas as I get to spend time with my family who live so far away. I wish they were all so much closer but not to be. My IL's on the other hand pretty much live just around the corner (so to speak) and we see very little of them. Wish they wanted to spend more time with the kids mostly but hey they are divorced and my FIL remarried. Anyway. My whinge.

Christmas presents all purchased and I am not going to the shops for the rest of the month. OMG how crazy is it. Impossible to get a park and people everywhere. Like how much shopping can you possibly do. Like it is always packed - there are not that many people in this area. I don't get it. I am in and out with what I went in to get and don't go back again. Oh well. The kids will be super happy with their presents at least. LOL.

Alternative Christmas card

Today I am here bringing you
a very alternative Christmas card indeed. Today is
Now some of you know that I am an 'artist' - I do drawings
like the one on front of the card below. Up until I had kids I would
do one of these drawings for my MIL for her birthday/Christmas
but didn't have time after the kids came along.
Of course at that stage I didn't have Copic markers either.
If you check out the pic at the bottom with one of the drawings
using textas. Eeeeekkk...!!! Thank
heavens for Copic markers. So here is the Christmas card
using non traditional season colours. This was done on the
Neenah 352gsm card.

Copics used:
Black Multiliner 0.5mm, BV29, BV25, BV23, BV20.

Enjoy your day.
