Just Magnolia sketch

Good morning all. Don't know what the weather was like for you all for the weekend but it was quite wet here in Melbourne. Kids played outside and got all muddy yesterday. Was quite funny. Change of clothes and lots of wiping. LOL.

This card was made for Just Magnolia with a sketch by Martine. I really enjoyed doing this card. I actually coloured another image for this challenge but the colours didn't match so I ended up colouring this one. Isn't she just so cute. I got this cutie plus the DP from Magnolia Down Under and these gorgeous roses were from I am Roses who have the best range of Roses, Cherry blossoms and Gardenias.

Christmas cards

Good morning sweet friends. It is Sunday again. Phew the weeks and the weekends just go way too quickly. This week at Anya Ink we would like to see Christmas Creations. Now this is probably one of the easiest challenges I reckon we have had so far. I love Xmas Sweeties. Such a cute set with great sentiments. I used the TGF papers called Merry Merry. Very cute. You get so many in the pack. I was wrapped that I was able to pick some up. Don't forget to pop by the Anya Ink blog and check out what the rest of the DT have created. All gorgeous.

I had a stall at a Kinder Market yesterday. Let's just say that it was a big disappointment. Out of 100 families at the Kinder only 1 - yes 1 turned up (except those who were there). So the big 'fundraiser' for a market was a big disappointment for everyone. I sold about 11 cards but all to the same person. Need to go to a bigger market and sell them.
Enjoy your day.

Warm Winter Wishes

Good morning everyone. Phew I finally got a card finished. I am in the process of getting all my cards organized for a market stall tomorrow so have been buys doing all that. Unfortunately the card stand that I bought from the UK has not arrived and don't think it will show up this afternoon so I can't display my card the way I wanted to. No matter.

On to the card. All the gorgeous product on this card (except for the base card) I purchased from Magnolia Down Under and must say I am loving it. I will add that the gorgeous brown lace ribbon was part of my DT kit from Kellie and I want some more. Give me give me.

I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday. I did change it up a bit - turned it on it's side and put the flowers where the sentiment was supposed to go and the sentiment where the elements are supposed to go but it is sticking to the sketch. I also made this card for A Spoon Full of Sugar with a colour challenge - to use Pink or Blue with a base of brown. So here it is.

Products: Magnolia stamp and DP - all from MDU; Whimsie Doodles digi sentiment; SU Tempting Turquoise card; Verafine Vintage Sepia ink; Lace ribbon; Kaisercraft flowers and pearls.

Be Creative

Morning all. It is Thursday so it is Softpencil day. This week we were given 'Simon thinking of Santa' who was designed by Elizabeth's talented sister Natalia. Very cute. Our design element this week was to 'Be creative' so I decided to make gift tags - these are absolutely perfect for them.

I loaded the images up in Gimp and added the text. Think it looks great. Punched out some snowflakes and sprayed with the Glimmermist and then a dot of Kindyglitz in the middle. Excellent - now I have 3 tags - one for each of my children. Ace. LOL.

Our House to Yours

Good morning beautiful sweet crafting peeps. Hope we are all well today. I am fantastic. LOL. Another beautiful day here in Melbourne Australia. Cool nights and warm days. Doesn't get better than that.

Yesterday I got a package delivered to my door from Magnolia Down Under. In the package was all the gorgeous So Jolly stamps that I preordered and also my DT kit. Woo hoo. LOL. My DT stamp is Christmas Eve Tilda and am so loving her. I also received this fabulous lace ribbon from Kellie - which I love. I have created something special for our DT challenge that my fellow DT member Jodie has set for us but for now I will show you a card I made with one of my other stamps. Now I will let you all know that if you are interested in purchasing from MDU then you had better hurry as the stamps are absolutely flying out the door.

I must admit that my photography today is not very good so I do apologize for the blurriness but I just can't get motivated to do it again. Sorry. LOL.

I made this card with 3 challenges in mind. I firstly did some masking of Wrapped Tilda and the christmas letter which was for Just Magnolia - with a challenge of masking. Tilda actually has a big bow behind her normally but my colouring of that in green was awful and seeing I am not overly motivated at the moment I decided to cut around her and cut the bow off. LOL. Okay - second challenge was for Crazy 4 Challenges with this simple yet wonderful sketch. Thirdly I made this also for Papertake Weekly with a challenge of 'Christmas Crackers' - so anything Christmas. Hmmm so there you have it.

Products: Magnolia stamps; Magnolia DP available at MDU; Alyssa Designs digi ticket; SU card; Lace ribbon from MDU; Rose; Glimmermist; Punch Bunch leaf punch.

Fabulous Friend

Another gorgeous morning here in Australia. What is the weather like where you are....??? Summer is nearly here woo hoo.

I made this card for two challenges - Friday Sketchers with this great sketch to the right. The other challenge was for Anyone for Anya? with a theme of 'Fake it', so I just did some faux stitching around the images. I have had these images since they were released by TGF and haven't had the chance to colour them - like all the other new stamps I have but haven't used yet. Phew....!!! Peeps stop bringing out gorgeous stamps that I have to buy. LOL.

Have a good one.

What...!!! No DP...!!!!

Good morning sweet stamping friends. Gosh it is Monday already. The weekend goes way too quickly. I had a wonderful weekend with Hubby home for three days instead of the usual two. I didn't want him to go back to work today. Oh well someone has to make some money around here. LOL.

Okay I made this card for Farm Fresh Friday at The Greeting Farm. You read the title right - No patterned paper or DP to be used anywhere on your creation. I actually found this quite easy. As soon as I figured what embossed card to use I decided to make it look sort of like a quilt pattern and stitched it all together. I sprayed the cherry blossoms with the same pink/red Copic marker that I used on the image. Unfortunately it didn't work quite as well as I thought it might but it still looks okay. I love these Twinkle Tots and am thankful that I was finally able to get one coloured up (I have four of the five available). Enjoy your day everyone.

Anya Ink #8 - Vintage look

Good morning good morning. Hahaha yep having a great weekend. Hope you are all well.

This week is Challenge #8 @ Anya Ink. Gosh this past eight weeks have flown. It has been amazing seeing everyone's work - truly inspiring. The theme this week is 'Vintage Look'. Now when Marcia asked me to give her a list of possible challenges before the challenge blog began this was one that I suggested. At the time I had a totally different stamp and papers in mind but when I bought this paper and then got the Xmas Sweeties I thought this would be perfect. I stamped Anya in Vintage Sepia ink on Very Vanilla card and coloured her. When you colour on VV card it comes out as a slightly different colour than on white card so that is why I did it. I did have to be careful with this as the Vintage Sepia ink is waterproof not copic proof so it did bleed the first time I did it. LOL.

The roses I received on Monday from I am Roses. I wanted to give them a shout out as I only ordered these on Wednesday 11th Nov. and they arrived 3 days later from Thailand so was very impressed. They also have Gardenias (slightly different to what you have seen before but I love them). I am going to be swimming in flowers. LOL.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a good one.

Twilight Tuesday: New Moon Blog Hop

Good morning and welcome to the Twilight Tuesday: New moon blog hop. If you have come from Sammi's blog than you are in the right place. If you haven't, join in the fun and start from Twilight Tuesday with the official list.

I was inspired to make this by the movie poster. Now with the poster Edward is in the front looking to the side and Bella & Jacob are to the right with Jake's back to us but unfortunately I am no good at drawing - especially profile pics so I just used the digital stamps from TGF and my TGF Edward stamp. I played with the images for ages and this looked the best - so even though it doesn't actually look like the poster I still love it - that is the main thing right. LOL.

I have seen the movie already. Those of you who are lucky enough to be in Australia saw it about a day and a half before the rest of the world as our release date was the 19th of Nov. I bet you are suitably jealous. LOL. It was the best movie ever and as I said last night when I got back from watching it - I have always been 'Team Edward' but after watching the movie I am wavering toward 'Team Jacob'. The muscles, the way he cares about Bella and above all the muscles.....lol.....did I say that already. Hahahaha.

Okay - next stop on the hop is Corinne aka Rinne. I can't wait to do some hopping. The hop offically starts at 9am CST - don't know what time that is here in Australia but will have to look it up.

Have fun.

Products: TGF stamps; background and New Moon movie title - found on the net; SU black card; Dimensionals.

OMG

Can you say "Fan-freaking-tastic.....!!!!". I loved it. New Moon is definately the best movie of the year. I have always been Team Edward but I tell you what I am wavering over to Team Jacob. Absolutely brilliant. Can't fault it. Gotta go watch it.

Michu is giving gift away

Good morning all. Today is Thursday so it is Softpencil day. Now I will admit that I am in love with this gorgeous image. This is 'Michu is giving a gift away'. Isn't it just the sweetest....!!!! You need to check out the other cute Christmas images that Elizabeth has in store. They are just all so so so cute.

Our design element this week was 'Golden touches' so I went for my K&Company gold card and cut out some snowflakes with my Slice machine. I got the Fa La La Design card last week and have been itching to use it so teamed with this gorgeous paper from Bo Bunny it looks perfect.

Now I am posting this so early today as some of you in Australia are already sitting in the cinema watching New Moon. So jealous but I will be seeing it soon enough. Woo hoo the day is finally here. If you want to know about it then let me know - otherwise hope you love it. I will let you all know tomorrow morning how much I did. LOL.
Enjoy the rest of your day everyone.

Update

Thanks for all the well wishes re:my teeth. Got in to see the dentist about an hour ago and they pulled my troublesome tooth out. Will have to wait and see how much pain I am in when the anesthetic wears off but at the moment all is good - mouth still numb and can't talk properly but at least I will be able to go and see New Moon tomorrow night like I had planned. Woo hoo...!!

Christmas Wishes

Afternoon everyone. Gosh didn't think I would get this card finished today. I have the worst toothache and sometimes I am in dire agony. Off to the Dentist Friday but don't know if I can hang on for another 3 days. Hopefully it doesn't get any worse than it is today.

I managed to make another Christmas card. Woo hoo. I used the sketch from Double Dutch Challenges. I am absolutely stoked. Of course I don't know if it will be a card to send or a card to sell. I am going to have a stall at a Kinder Market in a couple of weeks. Hmmmm don't know if anyone would want to pay $5 for a christmas card. Will see. If it doesn't sell then I guess it will be given to someone. LOL. I had to use this Hanglar image. I have had these for so so so long and decided I have to start using them. Not fair to collect dust in a draw. So here she is. I must have a thing for blue and red with the Hanglar stamps as I looked back at my cards and two out of the three I have used were in these colours. Hehehe. I guess they just suit. I must admit I wanted to do a red coloured card as I got some new copics from 7 Kids College Fund (oh so cheap) and got lots of red markers.

Only two days until New Moon. Woot woot.

Products: Hanglar stamp; Allissa Designs sentiment digi stamp; Bo Bunny DP; AC card; SU Riding hood red card; bead cap; head pin; snowflake charm from Spotlight; Kaisercraft Rhinestones.

The Real countdown is on

Yes I am well and truly obsessed but am so excited that the official countdown is here. Here in Australia we get to see the movie on the 19th so only 3 days away. Are you jealous...???? (except those in Oz). We are also about 9-12hrs ahead of most countries so that means that we get the movie about a day and half before the rest of the world. We are very lucky.

Now I have to say something - Kellie you did this to me. If it weren't for Kellie I would never have thought to watch the movie - let alone read the books. I didn't know what the fuss was all about really. I hadn't really heard much about the books and didn't know what it was about. Well as soon as I watched the movie I also had to read the books. I mean I went to the shops the very next day and got two of them and then the next I got the other two. I really do blame Kellie though. Hahahaha - thanks for another obsession - wouldn't be without it.

Oh and must add that I got some awesome Twilight stamps here. Artful Inkables have the best Twilight sentiment stamps and Twilight stamps - great wolf stamp - which is why I bought the set.

Anyway - sorry for lack of card. I have been in a rut over the weekend. I can't seem to get motivated. Hopefully I can get some back near the end of the week when I have to have a card done for Twilight Tuesdays blog hop.

Enjoy your day

Boy Cards

Good morning all. Wow what a wonderful week of entries we had to Anya Ink last week. We are blown away with the quality we are seeing and of course can't go past the gorgeous cards.

This week at Anya Ink we have a challenge of making a 'Boy Card'. Now I am the first to admit that I do tend to struggle with these even though I have a hubby and two sons. I got this done though and am quite happy with it. I love My Guy Ian. Such a grown up image. I have decided that this will be my hubby's birthday card which is coming up this Friday. I haven't shown this card to him so am hoping he doesn't visit my blog to see this card. LOL. The other DT have some amazing creations so make sure you pop on over to the Anya Ink blog and check out their creations and share the love.

It has been a great weekend thus far here in Melbourne. Got out into the backyard yesterday and pulled lots of weeds and did lots of sweeping trying to make it look 'tidy' for hubby's birthday party next saturday afternoon. Hoping that the weather forecast for rain changes as the week progresses so we can get outside and enjoy the day. Keep your fingers crossed for us. LOL.

Enjoy your Sunday.

Sweet Bundle

Good morning everyone. How are we all this glorious Saturday. Here in Australia it is Spring and we are getting some hot hot days. We have had the air conditioner on for the last week and it looks like it isn't going to cool down for a little while. Thank heavens we invested in the air con just before Ashley was born or I think I would have died. LOL.

Anyway - my card. I made this card with the sketch in the back of Magnolia Ink magazine. I was going to enter it into the challenge callout but I just don't think it makes the grade so thought I would show you anyway as I had not made a card for today. I loved the Magnolia Ink magazine. Lots of inspiration and great eye candy for us card makers. If you haven't got it you have to get it. I bought mine from Kellie at Magnolia Down Under Store. You can preorder the next magazine from December and will be in store Feburary next year. Oh and you must pop by the store and check out the gorgeous Magnolia flowers that will be available soon from Magnolia Down Under - keep your eye out and write down that wish list.

Jacob Black

OMG do you know how much I have been dying to post this a couple days before today. I have had this made since Wednesday during the day and it has been killing me to show you all. I just can't get enough. I am spending more time searching for the perfect background, font and elements for the 'Twilight' cards than I would for a normal card. So even though these cards appear to be very plain it has taken a lot of time to get these finished believe it or not.

Can you say excited.....???? It is Friday - woo hoo. It is also Friday the 13th. The weekend is nearly upon us and I can't wait to have my sleep in on Sunday. I really need it. I have had the worst tooth ache since Tuesday and the strong drugs aren't working - time to go to the dentist and get the thing pulled out. It is making my whole jaw ache and as soon as I eat anything the pain comes back. I really don't want root canal which is what they said would need to be done with this particular tooth if I have to go back for it again. No way. LOL.

Anyone going to the Melbourne Paperific Expo....??? I wish I was able to go. Due to catching up with friends last weekend I can't justify leaving the house for most of the day for my crafting this weekend so I have to miss out. Am spewing as my sister was supposed to come and stay for the weekend so that we could go and that would have been a good explanation as to why I should be going but she was not able to come so I can't. Hahaha Am I making any sense. No. Okay I will stop. Enjoy your friday.
