1 Sketch, 2 Cards

Good morning. Have we all had a good week. All I can say is TGIF....!!!!! It has been a long week in this house with my 6yr old home from school all week with the flu and gosh it makes a difference when he is home - not in a good way either. Now DH is sick too. Ahhhh I am supposed to be having a girls weekend and come hell or high water I will be going - sick hubby or not.

I have two cards for you this morning using the same sketch from The Secret Crafters Saturday challenge, papers and image but the difference is that I have used two different coloured card to colour on. Over at Shop Bron they have the Cordenons Blending card. It is very similar to the Express It Blending card but I tell ya what I love the Cream. The colours came out a little brighter but darker at the same time. Love how it came out.

Below is the two card colours side by side.
Cream on the left and white on the right.
White card
Cream card.
Cards side by side. White on left.
I used the same Copic markers colours on all the same
parts of the stamp except the skin. I started with E00 with the
Cream card as I wanted it to be darker.

Copics used:
hair: E50, 51, 53, 55
Bag: E31, 35, 39
Wings/dress trim: Y21, 23, 26, 28

Friday Sketchers #120

Morning everyone. Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. I am hoping that I have still sleeping in my hotel room when you read this. Crossing my fingers that I had an awesome night out with the girls. Anyway.........I made this card with the sketch from Friday Sketchers. It has been a while since I have created a card with a Sweet Pea Stamp so here she is.

Got a question for you all. What do you all do with your cards that you don't specifically make for someone....???? I have a bucket load of cards sitting here collecting dust and I have also tried to sell via a Facebook page but noone seems to be interested. Everyone says what lovely, beautiful, stunning cards they are but not willing to buy them for $3 each - What the.....!!!!!!! Come on $3 for a handmade card - one of a kind. Hmmmm let me know please. TIA.

Sweet Pea with Friday Sketchers

Good morning everyone. Hope we are all well. We are good here apart from me feeling not 100% and having no idea why. No matter.

I made this simple. I didn't want to put too many embellishments on here as the DP and image are all very busy already. As some of you already know this DP by Amy Butler will always be my favourite and I am nearly out of it :( boo hoo. LOL. Thought I would give it a go with a Sweet Pea image and the sketch from Friday Sketchers. I actually forgot about the ribbon/strip through the middle of the card so had to put on top and it actually looks better that it would if it were underneath. So I guess your mistakes make things look better sometimes. LOL.
It is a miserable Sunday here in Melbourne. It is raining has been raining all night and you would think it were Winter LOL. My hubby thinks it is Spring rain as the drops are so big. Meh we are nearly there. Not too long until the end of the month. Man I just don't know where the time goes. Have a good one.

Wings of a Butterfly

Good afternoon everyone. I know it is a bit late but I really wanted to show you this card I made with the new Sweet Pea stamp called 'The Moth'. I love it. There is also 'The Dragonfly' but unfortunately my colouring of that one was awful so it was binned and I coloured this one as well. I do love all the details on these stamps and best yet is that it is in a circle so you don't have to work out where to cut etc.

I made this card for Sweet Pea Stampers. The challenge this week is 'Anything Goes'. So I dragged out my BasicGrey Origins DP which I have had forever and thought it was time to use it. I also decided to make myself a circle easel card. It is hard to line it up straight but it worked out well. I just love the sentiment stamp that comes in the set.

------------------------------------------------------
I am so excited about something is currently happening in my Spesch Stamps world. I am hopefully going to be going to the Paperific Fair here in Melbourne and sharing a stall with the gorgeous Sammi for Mad for Markers. I am over the moon. Now I have to work out whether I can actually go. Stay tuned. LOL. That is all.

Friday Sketchers #111

Good morning everyone. Hope we are all well.

Last night while watching Connie and Carla on the TV I coloured in and made this card for Friday Sketchers. I didn't make it exactly how the sketch appears. I didn't put in the sentiment but it does look similar so I am going with it. LOL.

Today is going to be a good day. It is sunny out there here in Melbourne, Australia but the temperature is pretty cold. Hoping the kids will get out there and play a little. They have a bit of cabin fever as it has been very cold and wet but it is now getting better. As for me - hmmmm crafting I am hoping. We are off to dinner with friends tonight so it will be a lazy day. Hope to get out of my PJ's before lunch though LOL. Hope you all have a great Saturday.

Sweet Pea has gone a little MAD lol

Good morning everyone. It is my Mad for Markers day today. I seem to use Sweet Pea stamps a lot for my M4M posts but they really are wonderful to colour with the Copics so I guess it is just natural for me. LOL.

I used Coral Immersion. She is wonderful right...!!!!??????
She is gorgeous I think. Hehehe. The DP is by Paper Inklings which is an Australian company. This one is called Enchanting Girl. It has the best colours. I have two other full sheets in the same line and colours. You will be seeing lots of it.

Sweet Pea Stampers Sketch

Evening ladies. Well thought I had better get in there tonight with the card I made for Sweet Pea Stampers. I loved this sketch and would have had up earlier except the flowers took forever to dry.

We had a plumber come and look at our central heating unit that has decided to pack it in. Grrrrrr....!!!!! So he comes and tells us that he has no idea why it is not working. We now have to get an electrician here to have a look as the Plumber reckons it may be electrical. So lots of phone calls tomorrow to see if someone will come and have a look at it. Hopefully they can find a solution as it is not yet the middle of Winter. Would hate to think we have to get the whole thing replaced. ahhhhhh....!!!!!!

Sweet Pea Summer

Good morning. It is a long weekend here in Australia. Queens Birthday weekend and hubby is home but unfortunately he got the sleep in this morning not me LOL. Oh well. Today I thought I would show you a card that I made with the fabbo sketch for Sketch Saturday. I really like this sketch. Might have to use it again. I have lots of shine on this card. The DP from Creative Imaginations is just perfect for the Sweet Pea images. I am also going to enter this in to the Sweet Pea Stamps June Customer Challenge Week which is 'Anything Goes'. I think I will have to try and make a couple more for that one. LOL.

Hanna and Friends Sketch

Good morning everyone. Wow what a wet and wild weekend we had here. So different to last weekend which was sunshine sunshine sunshine. We are definately in Winter. Good news though. I found a dress to wear to my sisters wedding but I just can't seem to find a suitable pair of shoes. I have found lots and lots of shoes that I love and would look perfect with my dress but unfortunately my sister is having a garden wedding in Winter. Can you believe that. So of course because of that I can't wear/buy the shoes that I want - boo hoo :(

My card today was made with this sketch from Hanna and Friends . I must admit that I am seriously addicted to Sweet Pea stamps and can't get enough. I really have to control myself when they have a new plate come out as I want to buy them all. LOL. I bought this one from Delicious Papercrafting - the wonderful Aussie store by the lovely Kristy. Hope you like.

Monochrome with M4M

Good morning good morning. Welcome to another Thursday which is my day at Mad for Markers. This week again I have for you another Monochrome card. That's right I managed to get another done - thank goodness. LOL. It took me a while as I had no idea what colours I would use after doing pink last week hehehe. No matter. I used one of my Pendant nesties and gosh I think I am going to have to invest in a proper border one. It is so time consuming doing all those pendants down the bottom of the card. The rhinestones on the card have been coloured with a Copic marker to match the colours on the image.

This card was also made with the sketch from Sweet Pea Stampers and was also made for the Bizzy Becs customers Embellishments and Bling May Challenge.

Not feeling the best today. I have a cold - thank you my little miss. She has been sick too. It started on Saturday and I woke up on Monday (as you know) with a cold. Ahhhh. It is a pain - and unfortunately because my little miss is sick she won't be able to go to daycare tomorrow - my only morning off from the kids. Oh well at least I will have the whole of Saturday away from them at the Copic Certification class. Woot. I am so looking forward to it and meeting Debra, Mandi, and Emma.

Another Sweet Pea creation

Good morning Copic lovers. Hope we are all well. This morning for Mad for Marker I though I would use one of my new Sweet Pea stamps. I love these stamps as you can use the most beautiful and different colours and they always look so amazing.

I thought I would try something a little different with this stamp and I coloured the darker colours on the outside and the lighter ones in the middle. I think it turned out really well. I also 'tried' to do some feathering. Unfortunately you can't really see what I have done on her sleeves but I did it on the wings as well. What do you all think.....??? Sweet Pea

Good morning Aussie Copic lovers. It is Thursday so that means a post for Mad for Markers. Did you have a peek at all the blogs from the new DT members...??? I did and we have some talented ladies aboard. Welcome welcome dolls.

Today I just thought I would show you a gorgeous Sweet Pea image all pink and pretty. I really do love these images and Sammi was gracious enough to stamp this one up for me so I can have a try of these beauties.

I added some gorgeous Gardenias and some ribbon I got from my local haberdashery store. This BasicGrey DP has been sitting in my paper rack waiting to be used but haven't had the chance. Thought today was the perfect opportunity.

Enjoy your day.

Sweet Pea stamps with Friday Sketchers

Good morning everyone. I really can't believe it is the weekend already. Gosh the weeks are going so quickly. So little time to do more crafting LOL. Hubby is on holidays for 3wks from yesterday - so happy and so looking forward to some sleep ins. We will see I guess.

Hmmm my card. This was made for Friday Sketchers with this wonderful sketch by Claudia. I decided to use my Sweet Pea images that the lovely Sammi sent to me so I could have a play. Now I will admit that I have been a fan of these stamps for a little while but when I got the images to have a play - I didn't know whether I liked them but boy did that change when I started colouring her in. I loved colouring this baby. Absolutely wonderful. I am very excited as one of my fellow MDUC team mates will be selling them very soon on her online shop so if you are in Australia and want the Sweet Pea stamps check out Kristy's blog. She will be launching very soon.
