Tyler's birthday card

Good evening. Has been a while I know. Sorry about that.

With my fitness at a low and my weight at another high I decided to get my health and fitness in check, thus I have stopped making good but naughty food in the effort to get to a place where I feel more comfortable with myself.

I have however made a card for my eldest boy Tyler for his 8th birthday and of course he didn't even need to be told I made it as soon as he saw it. He loved it and knew I had made so made it even more special to him. I must admit this is an awesome card. I still have that colouring ability baby. Yay....!!!

I have had this image stamped out on card for a long time. This is one of my favourite all time Magnolia Edwin stamps. He is so adorable. Hope you like.

Friday Sketch Challenge #9

Gosh I am so so so late. Damn I am such a scatterbrain lately. I just seem to be late on everything. So sorry peeps. Here is the new sketch for Friday Sketch Challenge from Genevieve that we have this fortnight. Once again a fabulous sketch. I loved making this card as this paper is da bomb. I love the colours. Anyway - venture over and enter this fortnight. Join us for some sketch fun.

New colouring and sketch card

Morning all. Hope we are all having a great week. Did you enjoy the Spesch blog hop yesterday. It is still running so if you want to win some new stamps from the new release go to the blog here.

It is Thursday so it means it is my Mad for Markers show day. Now on the weekend I had the Copic Intermediate Certification and we learnt new techniques that I love but will have some time to get used to. I made this card using the Sunday Sketch and Stamp sketch. I decided to use this sketch as it ties in somewhat with the rule of thirds that I learnt at the class.

The new TOMIC challenge started this week so this will be perfect for that also as it ties in with their first challenge of 'Make a Birthday creation'. Here ya go LOL.

Now if you look at all the Copic colours you will see that I used a lot more than I normally do but in some respects - less. Weird I know.

Copic used:
Skin: E000, E21, E11, E04
Hair: E50, 35, 39, 49
Top: R21, 24, 29, B97 (complimentary colour)
Pants: B91, 95, 97, BG10, YR12(CC)
Present: YG11, 23, 25
Ribbon on present: YR000, 12, 14

I used the Neenah 352gsm card from Mad for Markers.

7 Kids Challenge

Hey sweethearts. Hope we are all well. I am fabulous. Went to my Intermediate Copic Certification yesterday and was it so worth it. Firstly we had the best teacher - Mandy Klinger - is certainly a great resource for Express Graphics and they chose well. I must admit that I have to get my head around a lot of techniques in the certification that threw all the other techniques we learnt at the first certification out the window - not completely though - as some of the principles apply just they are changed up a bit. Was very much worth doing the class.

This card I made for the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge I used my old colouring techniques and boy does it look a little different now but as always lots of practice is needed. It really is hard to describe so I won't even try. Sorry ladies who wanted to know all about it.

I made it nice and simple. I am not one for the shabby chic - pretty cards - I really don't do them too well I am afraid. Anyway. Enjoy your day.

PS. If you want to see the new Breaking Dawn Trailer scroll down to the bottom of my blog or see the previous post.

Magnolia kind of day

Hello again. Hope we are enjoying the start of our weekend. Mine is looking to be a good one. Sun is shining and might even be able to get out there in the garden.

I have a card I made with the sketch from Magnolia Down Under Challenges. I had to use another one of my new stamps from the new range. I just love her hair too cute. Now again I must admit I am not too sure about this card. Think I used the wrong DP but I am not redoing it. I think I am definately more of a bright card kind of girl but Tilda still looks cute.

Enjoy the rest of your day everyone.

Congratulations...just coz....

I got this stamp a few weeks ago from Bizzy Becs and have been wracking my brain thinking of a use for it (but had to have it when I saw the stamp lol). I tried stamping out a normal Tilda stamp and trying to fit her in to the car but it was too big. What now I thought....!!!!! Hmmmm so I had a brain wave. I thought I would stamp on kraft card and colour in with my Prismacolor pencils. I loved coloring this in. I made it in to a Congratulations card for someone who just got their license or you could give to someone who bought their first car etc etc. I was going to put Happy Travels on it but don't have any sentiment stamps that say that and I wanted the text on the white ribbon so just stuck with this.

Magnolia Tag

Morning all. How are we....?????

Today I have a tag I made with the new challenge over at Mad for Markers. The gorgeous Melissa created an awesome sketch for us all to follow. So if you are no good at tags this is easy as it is a sketch so make it like a normal card.

I made my card with a Magnolia Mini World Stamp so that I could make it nice and small. Enjoy your day.

Copics used:
Skin: E0000, 000, 00, 11
Dress: R00, 11, 21
Sleeves/wrapping: BG10, 11, 23
Box: E41, 43, 44
Socks: R00, 11, W1, blender
Hair: E50, 51, 53, 55

Just thought I would show you how small it is.

Make it Lacy

Morning. Ahhh it is Monday already. Where does the time go....???? Wish we could have a 3day weekend but alas not to be.

Today I have a card made for the Just Magnolia challenge - 'Make it Lacy'. I actually made this card when blogger was down and had no idea what the JM challenge was. Good thing I did as it fit in perfectly. Thought I would try something different with the colouring and used E50 for shading/shadow instead of a grey for the white bits. Looks a little more vintagy but will have to keep working on it.
Again I used the Neenah 352gsm card from Mad for Markers and it coloured really well this time. Just have to make sure I don't over colour which is exactly what I did this time.

First Mini World stamp creation

Over the last month or so I have been buying Magnolia Mini World stamps here and there and have not been using them. I must admit I have gone a little crazy with them and found that I hadn't used any yet. So I thought I would use this little baby and make a couple of gift tags for Christmas. Over at the Bizzy Becs Challenge Blog the May challenge is to 'Create a Tag'. So here they are. I used my new Spellbinders that the gorgeous Betty at SBS was able to get for me. There really isn't anything fancy about these. They are coloured on 352gsm card from Neenah that I purchased from Mad for Markers. It is great card and I managed not to over blend so no bleeding this time.

Thought I would show you how small they are.
Of course if you want to write on them, just turn them over and write the name of whom is receiving the gift.

CLP Challenge #35

Another good morning to you all. Wow I have some serious mojo happening at the moment. Ever since the Paperific Craft show all I want to do is colour colour colour with my Copic markers. LOL. Seriously though, here is my card I made with the gorgeous sketch from Crafting Life's Pieces Challenge #35. The sketch above is the sketch but I turned on it's side so fit with my image. The cloudy sky in the background I learnt from Annika's blog here. Such a great tutorial and looks great. I used the 352gsm Neenah card that I got from Sammi at Mad for Markers. This card is fabulous but must warn that most printers will not accept it - won't go through the printer.
Copics used:
Skin: E0000, 000, 00, 21
Dress/shoes: R59, 39, 37, 35, 32
Hair: E41, 43, 44, 47
Basket: E31, 33, 35, 37
Grass: G24, 26 (made by me with G24 & G28)
Sky: B0000, B91, C0, blender
Prismacolor pencil grass.

And then there were.....

...two more baby cards. Yep...!!! Have you noticed the baby cards I have been making...??? I have several friends due to have their babies soon so thought I had better get at it before they do so I am not rushing around.

I have made both the cards identical - one boy, one girl card - with the Sketch Saturday sketch. I used my new paper pad from Kaisercraft in the Lullaby range.
I don't know why the photos are so dark but you get the picture.
Here are the two together.

Enjoy your day.

Friday Sketchers #142

Good afternoon. Sorry for the additional post today but I thought I had better get a post up today with this card as it was made with the Friday Sketchers sketch and that ends tomorrow. So here she is. Tilda and her party balloons. I was lucky enough to snap these up from Bizzy Becs. I really don't know if I like any of the others but they may have to be some that go on my wish list but for now I got these two. I really loved using these papers from Bo Bunny - you all know that I love bright colours. Enjoy my sweets. See you tomorrow with another post (shock horror LOL).
