Farm Fresh Friday - sketch by Mercy

Good morning again peeps.

I made this card for Farm Fresh Friday sketch 10 by Mercy. I love this sketch. In my usual style I turned the sketch on it's side so I could fit the image.

I told you a while ago what I do when I have one piece of DP but didn't buy a matching one so I had to do it again with this DP. I have had this DP for so long I can't even remember when I bought it and have been dying to use it so I just cut out the pieces and mounted on some card to give an outline and here is the end result. LOL. It is funny as I showed Hubby this card after doing a DT card for Anya Ink and he said he preferred the Anya Ink one. Hahaha was funny as I told him that I wasn't asking to compare the two but just to tell me what he thought of it. He was honest at least but still love how this turned out.

Enjoy your weekend. See you tomorrow with my Anya Ink card.

Card Couture

Good morning everyone. What a great couple of days we have had here in Melbourne - nice and sunny and warm - even in t-shirts and shorts yesterday. Unfortunately it is a little cooler today and of course my boys are home today so no going outside as we are getting a storm. Lots of grey clouds out there.

Last night I decided to make the Card Couture project that I got from Papertrey Ink a while ago but had no motivation to make it. I was going to put an image on the front of it but just couldn't bring myself to do it. I liked the big flower on the front instead. It is such a perfect little project for recipes, addresses, stamped images. Whatever you like. I made this to put in some of the stamped images I have received from all my lovely blogging friends.

I used the Bo Bunny Recipe DP that I found the other day and just inked the edges of all the card. I must say that this was very fiddly but well worth it. Enjoy your Friday everyone.

I will cook for you today

Morning everyone. Today is Softpencil Thursday. Gosh I am loving previewing these stamps for you all. This stamp is called 'I will cook for you today'. Ain't it cute. The design element this week is bows so I grabbed my SU ribbon and did some pretty bows. I must say at the moment there is lots of Recipe DP's out there and this one is from Bo Bunny. I just love it. BasicGrey have also come out with a range calld 'Nook and Pantry' that would also be perfect for this image.

Go check out Softpencil's blog to see the other DT's work.
Enjoy your Thursday.

Ho Ho Ho

Good morning. It is Hump day - woo hoo. Normally I would preview the Doodle Palace images today but we don't have any this week so have this card that I made during the day when my kids were entertained. I tell you what - my kids tend to spend more time inside when it is a beautiful day and want to go outside more when it is raining. Crazy children. LOL.

I was lucky enough to get some of these gorgeous handmade snowflakes from my fellow MDU DT member and gorgeously talented Debbie Pamment and have been dying to use them as soon as I got them in the mail last week. Was able to make something with this one - I have 3 more that I am saving LOL. If you are interested in getting your hands on some of these go to Debbie's blog and contact her from there.
I started making this card for a challenge but just didn't fit the sketch as I wanted the snowflake to be the star of the card so ended up just doing it like this and entering it in to Farm Fresh Friday challenge at The Greeting Farm. I love love love these Xmas Sweeties and can see myself using them for lots of xmas cards. Watch out my fellow DT members these may be on their way to you soon. LOL.
The challenge at TGF was 'Punch Drunk' - to use 2 or more punches. Now technically I didn't use any punches but I did use two different Nesties for this so I reckon it qualifies. What do you reckon....??? Have a good day. See you all tomorrow.

Just a quick mention - I have a card featured over at Club Anya - woo hoo.

A Friend

Morning everyone. Hope we are all well. I finally got the card I started yesterday finished. Woo hoo. I have been seeing lots of easel cards around and just had to try it and it was so much easier than I thought it would be. I had lots of fun making this.

I made this card with the Sketch Saturday sketch. I did alter it a little bit. Sorry I have so many pictures here already that I won't put the sketch on here but I am sure if you pop on over to SS then you will see the fabulous sketch.

I had to use one of the Magnolia Stamp Club kit stamps that was stamped for me by Kellie as I forgot to order the kit myself and with my stamping addiction I am starting to run out of money and I just can't help myself and just buy more and more and more. Ahhhhh I am gonna go broke. LOL. Must mention that this Magnolia DP came from Kellie's Magnolia Down Under store and you can still get your hands on some here. Enjoy your day everyone.

Punch Drunk

Good morning everyone. Was a very quick weekend don't you think...!!!!! Way too quick and it was especially quick for me as I didn't really have much of a weekend with hubby being sick with a migraine. Grrrr....!!!! Always the weekends - never on work days when it doesn't matter. LOL.

Anyway. Hmmmm my card. Made for Farm Fresh Friday at The Greeting Farm. The challenge this week is to get 'Punch Drunk' - to use two or more punches on your creation. I went for my Punch Bunch punch for the xmas tree and layered it up and used my snowflake punch. Love it. I must get myself one of the Martha Stewart snowflake punches as they are much bigger than this one.

Enjoy your day.

Distressing

Good day to you all. This fortnight at Magnolia Down Under Challenges we have a great theme/challenge for you and that is to 'Distress'. The more the better I reckon. What do you think...??? LOL. On this card I distressed all the edges of my DP from Cosmo Cricket with my scissors and rubbed a little ink over the sides as well to give a little bit of a vintage look . I just love this stamp - baking Tilda and she was purchased at Magnolia Down Under Store but alas she is sold out like a lot of the stamps they are just flying out the door. LOL. This Earth Love DP is just so gorgeous and so not what I normally use but worked well. Can't go past making the flowers with my Slice machine and then sticking some buttons on there.

Unfortunately yesterday wasn't a good day for hubby. He woke up with a really bad headache that turned into a migraine - so alas I had to take the kids to the party all by my lonesome. Thankfully the boys are at an age where I don't really have to worry too much about them. They went straight outside and played yesterday. I was confined inside as my little girl decided that she didn't want to leave my side and didn't really go off on her own until just before we left. Typical....!!!! LOL. The birthday girl was all smiles all day and only cried when the party hat was put on her head. Poor thing wasn't happy. Sorry no photos.

Enjoy your day

A Recipe

Good morning lovelies. Hope we are all enjoying our weekend.

This morning it is time for the Anya Ink Challenge and this week we have a recipe for you. On your creation we want to see - 2 Ribbons, Staples & Circles. So with this in mind I decided to think outside the box a little and did a circle card. I love this DSP from Stampin' Up (US cattie) called Thoroughly Modern. Oh and the matching card is gorgeous as well. Love the In Colors. Okay getting off track. The card. I used my Nestabilities and circle punches for this card and attached the ribbon and sentiment with staples.

This week we have an added incentive. One random winner can chose a single TGF stamp from The Stamp Spot. Make sure you enter this challenge if you want to be considered for the next DT spot too. So get those thinking caps on and 'wow' our pants off LOL.

Make sure you pop on over to Marcia's blog to check out what she has created this week.

Just Magnolia Week 28

Good morning everyone. It is the weekend already. So nice to have hubby home for two days but they do go way too quickly. Off to a 1st birthday party in the early afternoon and then movie night tonight I think. Going to watch Wolverine. I am a big big X Men fan and have been dying to watch this movie for ages. Thank goodness it is on DVD now.

Okay - on to my card. This was made for Just Magnolia with this fabulous sketch from Marlene. I kept this simple as I love love love this DP from Magnolia which I got from Magnolia Down Under Store. And I had to use Peachy Tilda again - I just love her. Oh for more money to buy all the stamps. LOL. Enjoy your weekend.

Don't forget to preorder your So Jolly and Under the Mistletoe stamps and DP from Magnolia Down Under Store.

TGIF

Wow it is the afternoon already. How the time flies....!!!!! Been having a great week this week except this cough is lingering but feel pretty much 100% now. I didn't get a chance to make a card last night. It was one of those nights where I just wanted to sit and watch TV for once instead of having a deadline. I made this card today during the day - that is why it is so simple. I had to make a 1st birthday card as we are going to a party tomorrow - so here is that card I made. I love the red hair. Dont' you...???? The birthday girl has red hair but her hair is a lot darker than the image I have done here. Hehehe I don't have a darker orange colour so this will do I am sure. I got this gorgoeous image from Digital Pencil Too. No challenges for this one. I will endeavor to do an MDU card tonight and post it tomorrow. Hope you are all having a great Friday or as most of you are in the US - Thursday.

One Layer Card

Morning everyone. Okay okay nice and early but I am not really up doing a post at this time of the morning. It is scheduled. Hehehe. As soon as I finish a DT card I schedule a post so I don't forget. Yep I can be forgetful sometimes.

Guess what....!!!! It is Thursday. That means it is Softpencil Thursday (at least for me). This is Michu and his Enchanted House (so Michu is a boy - LOL I thought he was a girl Ooops). The design element this week was to make a 'One Layer card'. OMG what is a challenge without it being challenging but gosh some of these are getting harder and harder. With this card I printed the image large and added the sentiment underneath. With a Ruler and Copic fineliner I did a border for the image and coloured the image in with copics. A little bit of Kindyglitz for stars and a ribbon cut into the card at the sides of the image. There you have my one layer card. Phew. What an absolute challenge indeed. Enjoy your day peeps.

Hey sweethearts. Another day over. Another just begun.

Today I have made this card for Kraftin' Kimmie Stamps! Challenge which has a challenge of 'Buttons' using this great sketch from Sketch Saturday. I loved colouring in this gorgeous stamp and can't wait to see some more. LOL. I am addicted to stamps - aren't we all.

Bright and Zingy

Gosh talk about being in my comfort zone. I absolutely love using bright colours on my creations so the Just Magnolia challenge for Bright and Zingy was very easy for me. LOL. I used the sketch over at Friday Sketchers for this card and had lots of fun with it. Unfortunately the pink rubons that are under the rhinestones got a little lost in the colour. You can actually see really well in real life. The colours just don't pop in this photo. I got Peachy Tilda from Magnolia Down Under store but this little beauty is so popular that she is gone. Make sure you pop on over so you can preorder your So Jolly and Under the Mistletoe stamps and papers.

For those of you wondering - we went and saw 'Surrogates' at the movies the other night. It was a good movie - very simple but I love Bruce Willis so it was an easy movie to watch. We didn't actually see it until 11pm so it was a late one. Unfortunately the seat I was allocated was wet with wine - but thankfully the seats behind us were free so I didn't have to sit there with a wet leg. How silly is it that they didn't check that before they seat everyone in their seats - it is Gold Class cinemas after all. No matter. Have a great day.

Stitching: Real or faux

Hey sweethearts. It is Sunday already. Gosh I don't know where the time goes these days. Maybe it is just that I am getting old. My parents reckon the older you get the quicker the time goes. I hope they are wrong.

As it is Sunday it means we have another challenge for you at Anya Ink.
This week we have a challenge of 'Stitching - Real or Faux'. If you know me at all you know I love stitching on a card so this challenge was one of mine - of course. LOL. For this card I used Miss Anya and air brushed around her with the Copic Airbrush system.

I used my Nesties as well and this gorgeous DP from Bella. I just am in love with this DP. Can you tell....??? I use it all the time. Will be upset when I have run out. LOL. I made my flowers using my 2", 1 1/4" & 1" circle punches, stitched an X in the middle and scrunched them up and sprayed with Glimmermist. They worked out better than I thought they would. Hehehe. Don't forget to stop by Marcia's blog and see what she has created.

I used the sketch for this card from Stamp with Fun .

Merry Christmas Fairy

Good morning folks. Oh what an awful week I have had with this cold but thankfully I am now on the mend and this cough is also going away. Nothing worse than that horrible itch you get in the back of your throat constantly. Anyways, it is the weekend. Woo hoo. Hubby and I are off to Gold Class cinemas tonight after we go to the Casino for a little while. Now for those of you who aren't in Australia - Gold Class is the premium movies with recliner chairs and service like you wouldn't believe. You can order your popcorn, food or drinks and they bring it to you and you have a little table in between the two seats. I am really excited as we haven't been to the movies for ages and especially not GC.

Anyway - on to my card. I made this card for The Sugar Bowl Challenge which is to use the sketch and make it a Christmas/Winter card. I so had to use my Manga Fairy. Even though she isn't actually a Christmas stamp I think she really is suitable. My Hubby thinks she is a bit too racy to be a Christmas Fairy but I disagree. I noticed after I uploaded the photo that I actually left out a couple of elements on the sketch but it is the way you interpret the sketch so I don't think it matters. Enjoy your weekend. I certainly will.
