Friday Sketch Challenge & DP2 Challenge

Wow it is Saturday. Even though I am thankful it is the weekend - no doubt it will go too quickly. Boo hoo. LOL.

Okay - New sketch challenge. I have missed having a sketch challenge on a Friday. So much so that I have decided to start a new challenge on a Friday called Friday Sketch Challenge. Hahaha nothing spectacular I know hahaha but I really have had a bit of a gap over the weekends so thought this was the best way to overcome that.

This isn't a call. Just thought if any was interested please email me - booyagrl@gmail.com and I will put you on the list of interested people. We will most likely do two groups if we have enough interest so means you will only need to make a card once a fortnight. You will most likely need to create a sketch once in a while and from time to time we will hopefully have sponsors.

Now on to my card. I made this for the Mo Manning Challenge which is 'Something Sweet' - which isn't too hard with this gorgeous image with the fairy floss or cotton candy as it is called in the US. I just love this image. She is too cute.

PTW Sketch #58

Good afternoon and TGIF. It has been a long week. From the toothache of the century which resulted in my tooth being extracted to our first ever Parent Teacher Interview for my eldest son. It has been a hell of a week and sure glad it is almost over.

My card. Well I made it with the sketch from Papertake Weekly. I love the simple sketches as they are easier to add more elements to it - hence I have added a flower. I used this fab stamp from WOJ. Can't remember it's name but the gracious Katerina from WOJ gave it to me as I purchased a few stamps in one go. Thanks for that sweets. Anyway here is it.

I used a Spica pen on this image but it is always so hard to see in photos. I took it in to the sun and tried to capture it.
Thanks for visiting.

Bron's Sketch

Morning everyone. Seeing it is my Mad for Markers post day so I thought I would put together a card using this week's challenge - Sketch by Bron. I turned it on it's side to allow for the oval and Miss Babette. Aren't the new stamps by TGF so cute and, of course, are available from Mad for Markers but you had better be quick - I think they are running out the door.

So for this card I actually used the same piece of DP but because I don't have any other DP that matched I cut out the pieces in the 'puzzle' for the sketch and put it back together. I am my biggest critic so there was a lot more that I could have done with this card but this will certainly do for now. Thanks for looking.

Copics used:
Skin: E000, 11, 04
Hair: C10, C5, C1
Socks/Trim dress: E41, 43, blender, YG23 (top trim dress)

SS #145

Afternoon everyone. Wow what a horrible wet and cold day it is here in Melbourne. Even though we are known for our wet weather here this is just crazy. We have had so much rain lately. It is so so so wet out there. Ahhhh..!!!!

Anyway. This card made with the gorgeous Rose and Felix from Wee Stamps was made for the Sketch Saturday challenge #145. I thought I would make it a lot different to the sketch but still the same if that makes sense. Enjoy the rest of your day.

The sky's the limit

You know when you just make a card for the sake of making a card...???!!!! Well this card is one of those. When I went thru my Gorjuss phase a few weeks ago I made up this card. Yep the same photocopied papers as those cards were used on this one. I just couldn't think of a saying or sentiment that would go with it but alas I thought of something - so here is the end result. No challenges just a card.

This was made with one of the Gorjuss stamps by Sugar Nellie.

SSS118

Good afternoon everyone. Hope you are all well. Gosh I must say that the weekends are going too quickly. As soon as I feel like it is beginning it is coming to a close. Oh well - nothing I can do about the time. What I do with it is what is important - right....!!!??? LOL.

Okay so quickly - this card was made for The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge #118. I used a gorgeous stamp from Bizzy Becs - this digi is called Teddy Cuddles from the Once Upon a Time collection. I have had her for a while and she has in fact been coloured for a while too but kept forgetting I had her there.
Hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend.

CLP Challenge #38

Good afternoon everyone. Wow it turned in to the weekend so quickly and it is going just as quickly. Half way through Saturday afternoon already.

I made this card for the Crafting Life's Pieces Challenge #38 with a fabulous sketch. Go to the blog if you would like to see the sketch. It is a good one.

This gorgeous stamp is by Sylvia Zet from Wee stamps. Just love it. Was able to layer it up - unfortunately the photo doesn't do it justice but I think you can make it out a little.

Enjoy your weekend.

Baby Girl with SWF

I used the Sketch from Stamp with Fun for this card. One of the Kinder Mums that I know just had a baby last week so I thought I would give this cutie from Some Odd Girl a bit of a go seeing it is so darn cute to make her a baby card. Did you know that Sammi at Mad for Markers now stocks Some Odd Girl clear stamps. Pop on over to the shop and grab yours today.

I tried to make the skin a little bit darker than usual but it didn't work too well but still darker than I normally do. Have a good one.

Hair: E57, 59, 49
Nappy: RV000, 00, 11

Loves me not

Afternoon everyone. It is Sunday here in Australia and I spent most of yesterday away from the house. Gosh the kids drive me crazy but thankfully they are back at school/kinder tomorrow so I have some time away from them even if it is a short while.

Today I have a card I made with this sketch. I thought this sketch was for something else so spent a lot of time trying to get it perfect and then realized that I actually used the wrong sketch. Grrr....!!! Anyway if anyone knows what challenge this sketch is from I would appreciate you telling me so I can enter the challenge.
I used 'Loves Me Not' from Spesch Designer Stamps. She is just lovely to colour. Take care. Have a good Sunday.

Princess no.3

Morning everyone. I have got to say TGIF and also thank god it is the last day of the school holidays. Another normal weekend and then the kids are back at school and kinder. They are kinda driving me a bit batty. They have a bit of cabin fever and even when told not to go outside (like yesterday) they do and ruin the grass in the backyard. Ahhhh I swear I nearly took their heads off LOL. Oh well kids. Who would have them.

My card today was made for a friends little girl who turned two this week. She is a little blond princess - she is totally gorgeous actually so had to make a princess card for her. Hope she likes it. I used Princess No.3 from TGF that the gorgeous Sammi bought me for my birthday. In fact she spoiled me rotten and bought me lots of TGF stamps. I felt like a princess myself. Enjoy your Friday. It is actually sunny here in Melbourne.

Decoupage madness

Okay I must warn you that this post is very picture heavy.

I bought these decoupage kits a long long time ago at my local SB shop. After making the card yesterday (that someone asked if it was the decoupage image) I thought I would make them up. I grabbed the striped papers - in fact all the papers - but particularly the striped one and photocopied them on my printer so I didn't cut up the original. Call me a hoarder but I want to keep that paper for future projects and don't want to use it.

So here are eight (8) card fronts that I made. I am thinking that I will keep them as decoration. I attached them to my shelves with some repositional tape but alas they have all fallen down already so I have to find another solution.

Sammi here is the decoupage one LOL.

Copic Oz Challenge #12 - Embellish It

Today I have a card made for the Copic Oz - Challenge #12 - Embellish It. So have to use your Copic Markers to colour your embellishments. I have air brushed my ribbon - with R89 - and my flowers - C9 for middle and R35 for edge but took my R89 and did a thin line around the edge as well. If you know me you know I love to airbrush so this was fun for me. I could have gone all out and coloured my pearls as well but wanted to leave them raw as it looks better than having them a colour (trust me the coloured ones didn't look nice).

I have been also practicing my colouring on folds or pleats and still finding it a challenge. If you want to see an awesome tutorial on coloring pleats/folds go to Zoe's blog here.

Don't you just love this Gorjuss stamp...!!! Well I do. I have the decoupage set for this too but just can't bring myself to use it as I love it so much. Maybe I should make it up and keep for myself as artwork. Ruby has to be a big favourite but love the others available from Santoro. I purchased mine from Funky Kits.

Copics:
Skin: E000, 11, 04
Dress/shoes: R35, 37, 39, 89, blender
Stockings: C9, 7, 5, W0, W1, blender
Hair: C10, 5, 1
Cat: C3, 5, 7, 9
Flowers: ABS with C9 (middle), R35 (outside) with
lined edge of R89
Ribbon: R89.

Pink and Yellow

Morning everyone. I am here with some inspiration for the new Challenge at Mad for Markers at the challenge blog - here. Thought I would use a Kraftin' Kimmie stamp as I am trying to get used to colouring folds in clothes. Although I am getting better I do need some more practice. The sketch above it from The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge.

Pop on over to the challenge blog and get some more fabulous inspiration and while you are there why don't you enter. Would love to see your entries.
