MDUC #76

Good morning everyone. Wow what a silly season it is indeed. I just can't get over how many people are at the shops on the weekend. It is so crazy. If they were smart like me they would have got their Christmas shopping done ages ago - but alas they aren't and are leaving to the last minute. I can't even go to the shops and buy something that is not for Xmas. Crazy I tell ya.

Anyway enough of my ramble. I have finally made a card for Magnolia Down Under Challenge. It has been nearly a year since I left and haven't entered a challenge :( My Magnolia's just weren't appealing to me for a while there but last night I decided I needed to use one of my new Christmas stamps for the new colour Challenge at MDUC. The colour challenge is to use: Red, Brown and Cream on your card. So here is my take on the challenge.

Enjoy your day.
Products: Magnolia stamp from Tickled Pink Stamps; Spellbinders Frame die; Kaisercraft DP; SU card; Memento Rich Cocoa ink; SU ribbon; I am Roses flowers; Antique Linen distress ink; Copic markers used- Skin; E000, E00, E21, E02; Dress/hair: E50, E51, E53, E55, Blender; Socks/Wings: R11, R12, R14, R17; Wand: YR12, YR14, E08, E59, E49; Dress trim: E57, E59, E55.

One for the boys

Good morning everyone. How are we all today...??? Good I hope. I have a shocking headache so I will make this quick.

Over at Magnolia Down Under Challenges they have a wonderful challenge this week of 'One for the boys'. Simple yet challenging. I made this card a little while ago when I was in a groove and made a whole heap of MDUC cards. Unfortunately in the meantime I have stepped down from MDUC due to lack of motivation and mojo. I would like to give a big "Thank You" to Kellie Winnell for taking me under her wing and making the experience at MDUC DT a wonderful and valued one. Thank you to everyone on the team who came by my blog every fortnight and shared the love. Hope you continue to enjoy my blog. Make sure you step by the MDUC blog and see the DT's work.

Something Sweet

Good morning everyone. What a lazy Sunday morning I am having...!!!! I just got out of bed and read a little of the newspaper - Kristen Stewart interview - and now sitting on my couch on the computer. I must say it is just a perfect morning. If only my kids would take it down an octave. LOL.

This week at Magnolia Down Under Challenges the challenge is 'Something Sweet'. I thought it was the perfect time to use 60's Tilda from the Yummy range and also the sentiment from the Summer 09 range. The DP from BasicGrey is perfect for this vintage cutie. Hope you get some inspiration from my card. Make sure you visit the MDUC blog for more inspiration from the DT.

Swirly Swirls

Good morning everyone. It is Sunday already but it is a long weekend here in Melbourne Australia so we have an extra day. Woo hoo. I have a girlfriend coming over tonight to make some cards. We will probably spend most of the time stamping and colouring but I do need to get some of my DT stuff done. LOL.

This week at Magnolia Down Under Challenges our challenge is 'Swirly Swirls'. I couldn't resist to use Bubble Tilda. I have been dying to use her ever since I got her and she coloured beautifully. I put dots around her with my copic markers but I have seen people do the watercolour effect with their copics - if you know how to do it please let me know as I desperately want to do it LOL. I used my Slice machine to cut a swirl and also used my fancy tags die from Spellbinders for the sentiment - can you notice what is wrong with it. Hahaha. I had to laugh that they got their grammar wrong on a stamp. No matter. Lots of Glimmermist and some sewing and here is my card. Hope you enjoy your Sunday.

Products: Magnolia stamp and DP; SU card; Bazzill card; Nesties; Glimmermist; Cherry Blossoms from I am Roses; SU oval punch; Making Memories Slice and DC3.

Flowers

Hello everyone. It is Sunday and it is Group 2's turn at Magnolia Down Under Challenges. This week we want to see FLOWERS on your creation. Flowers on the image, lots of flowers on your card or the DP, you chose. I decided to do all three. LOL. I really do like this stamp and decided she needed to be used along with my neglected swing by Magnolia. Go check out the other DT's work - you won't be disappointed.
Enjoy your day.

Good morning everyone. Hope we are all having a wonderful weekend. Today is Sunday so means it is Magnolia Down Under Challenge time. This week for Group 2 we have a 'Masking' challenge for you all. I thought I would use my Edwin stamp from the Raising the Ceiling range as he hasn't seen much ink lately and the bench is also Magnolia - but for the life of me can't remember what range. Soz. LOL. The sentiment is from ATS and the gorgeous papers are from the Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety range. Please come and join in the fun at MDUC. The other girls have done an inspirational job with their cards.

MDUC #29 - No. 2

Sorry to bombard you with so many posts today but have got some serious Mojo happening so I decided to make a card for this fortnight's MDUChallenge. If you would like to know the details see this post. This fortnight we have a challenge to use a STAMP WITH ANOTHER USE - so you have to use say a Christmas stamp for a birthday card like I did. I masked off the candy canes on the stamp and drew in the uncompleted portion of the stamp with a Copic Fineliner.

I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday and just love how the card turned out. Woo hoo another birthday card. LOL.

Products: Magnolia stamp; SU DSP, card & ribbon; buttons; Martha Stewart border punch; SU Upsy Daisy stamp set; SU Riding Hood Red ink.

Magnolia Down Under #29

This fortnight at Magnolia Down Under Challenges we have a wonderful sponsor - Kellie's Magnolia Down Under Store.

1st Prize is 1 of these stamps:
2nd prize is a $10 Voucher:
3rd Prize is this Lazy Summer Days DP:
This challenge you need to use a Stamp with Another Use: What that means is that you can use a Christmas stamp for a Birthday card or a Halloween stamp for a Valentine's Card. Your choice. What a fun challenge....!!!!!

Now the reason why I haven't made a card for this challenge is because Kellie ordered me not to do it. Hahaha. I might still make a card for it but not posting it today.

We are going on a break over Christmas - New Year and will be back on the 17th of Jan. That gives you a whole month to make a creation for this challenge. Please check out the MDUC blog for inspiration from the other DT.

Bedazzled

Good morning again dear friends. I will make it short and sweet.

This week at Magnolia Down Under Challenges our theme is 'Bedazzled' - cyrstal effects, dazzling diamonds, glitter, rhinestones etc. Now of course I had to do another Christmas card for this one and decided to use Snowy from the Magnolia range. Ain't he just devine. Unfortunately this photo does not do the card justice. IRL you can see the glitter on the snowflakes better and the white card under the DP and Snowy is a shiny card that looks fantastic. I also put Versamark Dazzle ink around the image and the sentiment but you can't see it in the photo. At least you can see the rhinestones. LOL. Have a good one.

Products: Magnolia stamp; Alyssa Designs ticket sentiment; Magnolia DP; Bazzill card; K & Company snowflake brad; MM Slice & Fa La La Design card; white card; MM rhinestone brad; Kaisercraft rhinestones.
