Late post

Hello sweet peeps. Hope you all had a great weekend. It is nearly the end of a long weekend here in Australia. Not that I got much of a long weekend as my hubby's body decided once again to give him a migraine. I tell you what it always happens on a long weekend. Grrrr....!!!! I want to smack his body silly LOL.

Okay today's post is for the Friday Sketchers challenge this week. I used the gorgeous Little Red stamp available from Spesch Stamps. I just love the gothic feel of this gorgeous stamp by Max. In fact I just love all of our designers stamps - so much so that I always find it hard to chose a stamp to use. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Friday Sketchers #143

This week at Friday Sketchers they have this great sketch. Nice and clean and simple, which is perfect for this stamp I used with the sketch.

This stamp is called Pink Lightening and is a new line of stamps that Crafts & Me are carrying. I love Jasmine Beckett- Griffith's art and this is one of her painting. There are many more painting - amazing painting. In fact I love her art so much that I got a tattoo of her 'Hope' fairy from her Hope and Despair painting (see photo below of the outline). Hope you like. I tried to colour her the same as the original painting and I did okay but could have been better.

The wings are coloured in with a black Copic Spica pen. So cool.

Friday Sketchers #142

Good afternoon. Sorry for the additional post today but I thought I had better get a post up today with this card as it was made with the Friday Sketchers sketch and that ends tomorrow. So here she is. Tilda and her party balloons. I was lucky enough to snap these up from Bizzy Becs. I really don't know if I like any of the others but they may have to be some that go on my wish list but for now I got these two. I really loved using these papers from Bo Bunny - you all know that I love bright colours. Enjoy my sweets. See you tomorrow with another post (shock horror LOL).

Good afternoon everyone. How are we all...??? Finally I have completed this card that I made with the Forest Friends Deer stamp. She is so cute. I must say a big thank you to Sammi for buying the stamps for me and a lovely extra surprise of another stamp set. You are the best girlfriend. LOL.

I have been watching episodes of "The Hills'. OMG can you have that much drama...??? I don't ever remember having that type of life. Maybe it is just coz they are in Hollywood but I never thought my early 20's were that bad and certainly didn't act as catty as they all do. Hmmm maybe it is just me. LOL.

Friday Sketchers #120

Morning everyone. Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. I am hoping that I have still sleeping in my hotel room when you read this. Crossing my fingers that I had an awesome night out with the girls. Anyway.........I made this card with the sketch from Friday Sketchers. It has been a while since I have created a card with a Sweet Pea Stamp so here she is.

Got a question for you all. What do you all do with your cards that you don't specifically make for someone....???? I have a bucket load of cards sitting here collecting dust and I have also tried to sell via a Facebook page but noone seems to be interested. Everyone says what lovely, beautiful, stunning cards they are but not willing to buy them for $3 each - What the.....!!!!!!! Come on $3 for a handmade card - one of a kind. Hmmmm let me know please. TIA.

Simply Betty Challenges

Good morning everyone. What a freezing morning it is here in Australia. My gosh. Unfortunately I decided last night to turn our central heating off completely just to see if it made a difference to when the boys woke up in the morning (my theory was that it woke them in the morning). When I turned it on this morning to warm our iceblock up it tripped the safety switch and I only got the power back when I turned the heater unit off completely at the power switch. Such a pain. When it was 'fixed' hubby said the same thing happened when the technician turned it on so hoping it is the same thing and will be covered under the power board warranty. Am hoping I am right. LOL.

Okay enough of my boring life problems. LOL. I made this card for the Simply Betty Challenge of 'Have fun' and used the sketch over at Friday Sketchers. In my haste to get this card done I totally forgot the flowers around the oval. You know what....!!!!! I like it simple so am leaving it that way. Babbling. Sorry.

Now big news is that Simply Betty Challenges are having a DT call. So once a week on Friday you are required to make a card using the gorgeous stamps. So in good style I am giving it a go as I love these fabulous Emo's. This stamp is Betty and don't you just love her little dog. So cute. Have fun. Can't wait to see if you enter the DT call. I am also having a go at the Guest DT call for Simply Betty. Cross your fingers.

Sweet Pea with Friday Sketchers

Good morning everyone. Hope we are all well. We are good here apart from me feeling not 100% and having no idea why. No matter.

I made this simple. I didn't want to put too many embellishments on here as the DP and image are all very busy already. As some of you already know this DP by Amy Butler will always be my favourite and I am nearly out of it :( boo hoo. LOL. Thought I would give it a go with a Sweet Pea image and the sketch from Friday Sketchers. I actually forgot about the ribbon/strip through the middle of the card so had to put on top and it actually looks better that it would if it were underneath. So I guess your mistakes make things look better sometimes. LOL.

It is a miserable Sunday here in Melbourne. It is raining has been raining all night and you would think it were Winter LOL. My hubby thinks it is Spring rain as the drops are so big. Meh we are nearly there. Not too long until the end of the month. Man I just don't know where the time goes. Have a good one.

Bikkie the Platypus

Morning all. Will make this quick as not feeling 100%.

This card was made with the gorgeous Bikkie platypus from the Stamping Bazaar. He is so so so cute. I just loved colouring him up. I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers . Nice and simple. I didn't make the tag so it can be pulled out. Thought there was no point - I just like the look of it. My card is also quite simple. I find it hard to put many elements on to a male card.

Friday Sketchers with Kenny K

Morning all. It is Tuesday already. Thought I would show you a card I made for Friday Sketchers and Kenny K's Krafy Girlz Challenge of 'On the dark side'. Now I don't know if you could really call this on the dark side but it is as dark as I can get. I am really not a dark person - bright colours are my thing. I do love the Goth stamps by Kenny K and bought three of them - I just couldn't resist. I bought one (can't remember name) that looks like Sophie Monk. So cool. So here is my girl with her purple hair.

Hope you are all well. Hubby is home again today sick with a sinus infection and also to go and get an ultrasound on his liver. Dr thinks he has a fatty liver and with his cholesterol being so high the Dr thinks he may drop of a heartache if nothing is done about it. It is a bit of a worry as hubby's family have a history of heartache. So just another health issue. Hopefully they find nothing wrong with his liver and the cholesterol tablets help bring down his cholesterol. Take care.

Darby & Bumbles

Hey darlings. Hope you are well. I am getting better but still not well today. On Friday night when I was feeling 'normal' I made this card with the sketch from Friday Sketchers. I have had Darby and Bumbles from ATS for a long time and have never made anything with them. Thought it was about time.

This MME DP is the best but unfortunately I can't get it anymore :( very sad. LOL. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Sapphire is here

Morning again everyone. Thought I had better get this card up before the Friday Sketchers challenge closed.

I made this card using 'Fluttering Sapphire Fairy' digi stamp from Make it Crafty. You have to go check out the store. Zoe has the most amazing background and house stamps and then some. They are all fairytale and whimsical but they are just so so so cool. Unfortunately I just don't think I could make them look good so thought I would grab myself the new Sapphire Fairy stamp. Friday Sketchers #111

Good morning everyone. Hope we are all well.

Last night while watching Connie and Carla on the TV I coloured in and made this card for Friday Sketchers. I didn't make it exactly how the sketch appears. I didn't put in the sentiment but it does look similar so I am going with it. LOL.

Today is going to be a good day. It is sunny out there here in Melbourne, Australia but the temperature is pretty cold. Hoping the kids will get out there and play a little. They have a bit of cabin fever as it has been very cold and wet but it is now getting better. As for me - hmmmm crafting I am hoping. We are off to dinner with friends tonight so it will be a lazy day. Hope to get out of my PJ's before lunch though LOL. Hope you all have a great Saturday.

M4M with Spesch Summer Fairy

Good morning everyone.

It is Thursday so that means a Mad for Markers project for me.

I wanted to use this Summer Fairy - new from Spesch Stamps today.

She is so cool. I wanted it to stay fresh and light so left her hair white with a highlite

of C1 marker.

I made this card with the sketch from Friday Sketchers.

Friday Sketchers #109

Good afternoon. Thought I would get in there with a card I made for Friday Sketchers before tomorrow when the challenge finishes. It has been a while since I made a card with a TGF stamp. I just love Cuddle Anya and she has been stamped for a little while but not coloured. Last night I thought I would bite the bullet and make a card with her. This DP from Kaisercraft was perfect. Hope you like.

I am feeling very tired lately. Hoping that the Iron tablets I am taking start working soon. I hate feeling like this all the time. Of course it doesn't help that I am not getting early nights recently. Maybe that would help LOL.

unfortunately I can't blame the weather. It is the middle of Winter here in Australia so the heat is definately not affecting it. I actually work better in the heat. LOL. Hoping it will be back soon but with the way this card turned out I am crossing my fingers that it is.

Bee happy

Morning everyone. What a miserable weekend it has been here. Raining on and off. Not much else going on except our heater decided to stop working. At least today it isn't that cold. Hopefully it doesn't get that cold over the next couple of days until it is fixed.

My card was made with the sketch from Friday Sketchers using Spring Bee from Spesch Stamps. I haven't used this stamp yet (shock horror). I have been wanting too but haven't had the motivation but as soon as I saw the challenge at Dutch Date Card Challenges of 'Bee Happy' I had to use her. Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.

Kei on butterfly with Friday Sketchers

Morning everyone. Nearly lunchtime here but all good. Kids are making spaceships with Lego blocks and whinging and carrying on. Hahaha. They really don't know how to share just yet so it is quite frustrating listening to the fighting over the blocks.

I coloured lots of images last night but this wasn't one of them. LOL. Do you find that you colour lots of images with DP etc in mind and none of them appeal to you when you go to actually make a card. Well that happened to me this morning. Hehehe. I coloured up Kei on Butterfly from Spesch Stamps. I used the sketch from Friday Sketchers. I just had to use some more of my DP from American Crafts. Don't you just love those butterflies. LOL. Well I do at least LOL.
