Girly girl

Wow another morning to you all. Second post for the day. This week at Magnolia Down Under we have a fabulous challenge for you. Our sponsor this week is The Cutting Cafe' - please pop on over and how a look at their store. This week we want you to make a Girly girl card with this sketch to the left - but there is a kicker - you have to have orange somewhere on the creation. Phew. Once I got this picture in my head of what I wanted to do this all fell together. I was not looking forward to doing this card but I love it.

This week we have some awesome news. We are going back to weekly. Woo hoo. It is going to be mixed up though. We now have two new Guest DT's for the next six months - make sure you say a big hello and welcome to Chelsea and Jane. Fran is also going to stay on with us. Woo hoo. Welcome Fran. We are also splitting into two groups. Next week we will start with group one and the following week it will be group two. What that means for us in the DT is that we still are on fortnightly but the challenges will be weekly. Ace huh....!!!! LOL.
I got this gorgeous stamp from Magnolia Down Under Store so pop on over for the sale that we currently have going at the moment - it ends today. Enjoy your day.

Friday sketchers and a RAK

Wow it is the weekend already. Where did the week go....??? So many things going on that the time is flying.

Okay I have had these gorgeous stamps from SCACD for ages and have only used one of them. This one is from the Elizabeth Bell Sampler 2 range and this one is called Fashionista. Isn't she just gorgeous. I love her. Perfect for one of my good friends who is a shopping fiend. LOL.

I used this wonderful sketch from Friday Sketchers. It is simple and the way I love it as you don't have to go overboard with the DP but of course in my usual style I decorated the inside of my card. I had to use my new (to me) BasicGrey Origins paper that I got in the mail yesterday. Was so excited. I ended up getting three packages in the mail. This with papers from a SB store here in Oz and also one from 7 Kids College Fund with some new Copics - woo hoo and I also got a nice surprise with a RAK - see below.

When I got this in the mail from the gorgeous Tammy I was so stoked. Look at all that DP and those giant pegs - I had to wrestle them back from my kids LOL. But the thing I love the most is the stamp set and the box it came in. OMG if you could see it in real life you would be like 'WOW'. Thank you so much Tammy. I love it.

The personalised stamps are also on special, but please be sure to read all the details before ordering just to be safe.

It’s only on this weekend, so if you have been thinking should I or shouldn’t I…? Well YOU should! hahaha…. Pop on over HERE….. and take a look for yourself.

Here comes the bride

Good morning my sweets. TGIF. That is all I can say. Even though yesterday was full on as my kids were all in daycare it just still wears you down for the week. Don't know how I will be when they all start going to school. LOL.

I bet some of you are wondering why I post so early in the morning....!!!! I don't...!!! Most of my posts are scheduled posts. Just makes it easier for me as I can concentrate when the kids are sleeping so normally do at night or in this case in the afternoon when they aren't here. LOL.

Okay enough waffle. I think I am learning some tricks from Kellie. Alright - because of Kellie I bought the CC Designs Spring Kit and I must say for the price I paid I am blown away. This bride and the sentiment are some of the stamps available in the kit. Aren't they just gorgeous. I thought I had better do this post first thing in the morning so I don't miss the sketch challenge at Stampin' For the Weekend. Pretty good sketch huh....??? This also fits in with the colour challenge over at Everybody-Art-Challenge with a combo of Brown, Blue and white, and also A Spoon Full of Sugar with a challenge of freestyle - which is do anything you like. Anyway. Enough from me. Have a great one.

Products: CC Designs stamps; Nesties; Bella Ever After DP; Bella flowers;Bella paper lace ribbon; dimensional tape. The circle frame was drawn by myself. I just photocopied and coloured (not that you can see the soft pastels that they were coloured with).

Michu and Michula

Good morning my sweet blogging friends. Hope you are all well this glorious day. It is Thursday so that means it is Softpencil day. This gorgeous image is called 'Michu & Michula'. Ahhhh ain't love grand. Of course this is perfect for a Valentines card so I went with it. The design element for the DT today was (now I deleted the email we got with this image so not too sure whether I have this right) 'Rhinstones, brads, eyelets'. Hope that is right. LOL. Enjoy your day.

My little man Tyler has his Kinder interview today and he starts Kinder next week. OMG. My little boy is so grown up now.

Happy Day

Another morning to you all. I am so excited about something and I am bursting at the seams but can't tell you all just yet. Hopefully soon I will be able to tell you.

This card I made for Friday Sketchers. I did change it a little so I could fit a square cut image. I made this for my bestie by request. I made a 5th birthday one for her DD and as soon as she saw it she requested five of them - all for 6yr olds. Wow so I have been busy trying to colour them and get them done straight away so I don't have to fuss about them. You will most likely see a lot of cards made with this gorgeous stamp by TGF. She is so darn cute.

TGF CHA Relay - Toby Bear

Hey sweethearts. What a great day. It is hump day here in Oz already. It is always funny that there is such a time difference between the world. I just always imagine that everyone is on the same time. Anyway.

This card was made with The Greeting Farm Toby Bear - the third image available for the CHA Relay. What do you reckon....???? Pretty cute huh. Sorry about the quick one. Have a good day.

Happy Australia Day everyone

It is Australia Day here in the Land Down Under. It is very similar to Independence Day. We celebrate what is good about our dear country. What can I say...???? Ayres Rock (not called that now), Kangaroos, koalas, Aussie bush tucker, Lamb, sausages on the barbie. Lots and lots of things to celebrate but most of all our multiculturalism. Happy Australia Day to all you Aussies.

On to my card now. I made this for Just Magnolia sketch challenge. I loved doing this sketch. 1. very simple and can use one piece of DP instead of two or more, 2. I just love it. LOL. I was able to use one of my BasicGrey papers that I bought just last week and I used up the whole piece. Woot woot. Still sticking to my resolution. Of course, I did break it - sort of yesterday - when I went to my LSS and bought some more packs of 6x6 DP - naughty girl. On a good note though I passed my first test with my quitting smoking. I went to my besties on the weekend and she is a smoker. I wasn't even tempted to have a ciggie and when I thought about it I just reminded myself that it would make me feel sick so - woo hoo. No smokes for over a week now. Am so proud of myself.

TGF CHA Relay - WS Charlotte

Evening sweethearts. Just a quick one from me. I have a shocker headache. Thank goodness DH has a day off tomorrow for Australia Day.

This is Wild Sprout Charlotte from The Greeting Farm for the CHA relay. This is the Day 2 digi that you get if you complete the Day 1 creation by 6PM CST. Here it is. Have a good night everyone.

TGF CHA Relay - Digi 1

Have you seen the free digi over at The Greeting Farm.....????? This fabulous Merman Ian is up for grabs for the TGF CHA relay. This is how it works. Everyone gets this digi for free. If you upload your card to the TGF Gallery by 6pm CST (US time) you then comment on the post with you email address and when the last comp is over you get the next free digi. You have to upload to the gallery by the time specified or you don't get the next digi. Hope that makes sense. Anyway - not good for those in the US who work. Good for us here in Australia as we are ahead and I am a SAHM too so I can do mine during the day. Good luck with it. You can get up to 6 free digi's (I think it is).

No Patterned Paper

This week at Anya Ink we have a great challenge of 'No Patterned Paper or no DP'. Really I thought this would be hard but it was a lot easier than I thought. When I first started blogging I received some wonderful embossed card from Sue and Katie so thought they would be perfect to use on this card. Another Valentine's card. What do you reckon....???? Hearts, hearts and more hearts. Love the heart embossing. LOL. Okay - enjoy your Sunday. Make sure you pop by the Anya Ink blog and share the love with the other girls.

Products: TGF stamp; Embossed card; heart charm; nesties.

The Pink Elephant #50

It is Saturday. Woot woot. The weekend. We are off to a fifth birthday BBQ at my Besties place. It is her DD's birthday today. HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHARLI LEE.

I made this card for The Pink Elephant with this great sketch. Now I must admit that this was a hard one for me - not the sketch but the DP and card. I wanted to use this DP from MME but didn't have any matching DP to go with it. So I just layered up the colours and the DP to give a little dimension. I think it turned out well. I got this fabulous Boho Chic from SCACD last week. It arrived in less than a week which I was impressed with and I love working with them. Thanks Susana.

Products: SCACD stamp; AC card; MME DP; Fiskars border punch; SU ribbon; Spellbinders tag (a gift from Marcia); Prima flower; pearl brad; SU Great Friend stamp; SU Rose Red ink; Nesties; SU pastels.

NEW COLLECTION....RAISING THE CEILING

OMG how exciting. The new Magnolia Collection - Raising The Ceiling is now available to preorder from Kellie's Magnolia Down Under store. You had better be quick as the stamps are flying out the door - some are already sold out and have been removed from purchase. Can you believe that....??? Don't fear Kellie will be getting more but for now they are going quick.

Adore

Hahaha I will try that again but put text in here instead. Sorry about the third post for the day. I just couldn't help myself. I did this LO last night of my little girl taken on the 24th Dec 2008. My very talented niece Jessica took the photo. It is one of my favourites of Ashley. She used a professional camera and used some kind of filter - don't ask me what. LOL.

Products: Balla DP, Petites (sentiment and butterfly); I am Roses roses; Gardenia from stash; Mini roses from Cheryl's blog candy; MM slice and DC3; Distress ink.

How to order Skogstokiga

First of all I want to tell you about this card. This is actually the first I made as soon as I got my Skogstokiga stamps from Petra. I tell you what the postage was so so so quick - I was amazed. I just coloured her and went with the flow. Good thing I had these Bo Bunny papers still otherwise I wouldn't have been able to do such a fabulous card. LOL. What do you reckon...???? Wonderful stamps or what.....!!!!???? The stamps on the right are also from Petra. I love the little hearts.

How to order: Go to Skogstokiga, on the right hand side there is a slide show. You need to go through the slideshow and hover over the images to get the names of the stamps that you like. Write down the names, make your wish list (I tell you it will be long), email Petra with you list. Petra will then send you an email with the amount you need to pay her in KR. You will need to work out what it is yourself in your own currency - for me it worked out to be $15AU. You need to have a Paypal account so that you can pay Petra.

Hope that helps everyone who asked.

Sugar Bowl Challenge 27

Good morning. Well what a wonderful day I had yesterday. I had the day off from the kids as they were at daycare and I managed to get myself some envelopes from a SBS that fit 6x6" cards or bulky 5.5 x 5.5" cards. Woo hoo. So rapt.

This card I made for the Sugar Bowl Challenge with another great sketch. The added extra for this was 'distressing' so I distressed the edges of the DP. You can't really see but if you click on the photo you will see in better detail. I have had this Manga Girl for a long time and haven't had the chance to ink her up yet. I love her and have so since she came out. Don't know why I kept forgetting about her -she is gorgeous. I stuck to my resolution and used up the rest of my Bo Bunny DP that I started last week.

Products: Sugar Nellie stamp; Bo Bunny DP; SU Pretty in Pink card; Green Tara flowers; brad from stash.

Amy, Michu & Ratiny

That is the name of this gorgeous image from Softpencil and it is also the new logo/header for everything Softpencil. You can buy this image at the Softpencil Shop. This week the DT were lucky enought to work with this image and the design element was to make a friendship card. I decided to stick to my usual bright colours. I love this DP from MME. Have none left now :( but sticking to my NY's resolution. Enjoy your day everyone.
