Neenah 352gsm

Good morning sweet blogging friends. Hope you are all good. Being a Thursday it is time for my Mad for Markers post. Last week Sammi sent me a sample of the Neenah Solar White 352gsm. Currently Sammi stocks the 216gsm but if there is enough interest then she will be getting some in next year. First I made a non traditional Christmas colours card as per our challenge at Mad for Markers Challenges here. I love this DP from Kaiser called Gypsy Girl (I think). LOL. Great colours.

Please don't look at my awful stamping ability LOL. But here it is in all it's glory. This Neenah card is fabulous for colouring. So thick so doesn't get over saturated but you do need to be careful as it does bleed - but just a little. This is a perfect card for artists who like to use Copic markers as the colouring does not show through when you flip it over.

I made this card for Friday Sketchers and 7 Kids College Fund Challenge of non traditional christmas colours.

Sweet Gothic World Kids release

Serious motivation needed

Okay as some of you may know I have become addicted to Zumba. What is Zumba you ask...??? If you don't know then Google it. It is basically the latest fitness craze and OMG it is the best fun ever. I have been doing it for 4months now and haven't lost much weight so I am starting kicking it up a gear. My goal is to lose 20kgs. That is my first goal. If I achieve that then it will be another 8kgs after that. Wish me luck. I am seriously cutting out all sugar (eeeeekkkkk) and bad foods in my diet and going walking every day. Phew. I am gonna be struggling (the sugar withdrawals) but need to do it so badly. I look at myself in the mirror every day and cringe. Anyway I thought I would tell you a little story about myself and show you a couple things I found on the net.

Happy Birthday Mick

Today is my gorgeous hubby's birthday. We are having a themed dress up party. Ghouls, ghosts & Goblins. I can't wait and everyone that is coming is very excited as well. Here is a photo of my hubby Mick just after the kids gave him his presents. He doesn't normally have a moustache but he is growing this for 'Movember'. If you want to donate email me. It is to help raise money for Men's depression. It is to raise awareness and money for research.

My hubby is dressing up as a Zombie so coz of this I decided that I had better make him a Zombie card. This is Zombie James from Simply Betty Stamps. I did a call out to the girls in the Simply Betty team to think of quotes etc to put on my card. Unfortunately I got them after I put this one on. OMG there were some hilarious ones in there like - You are my best friend, but if Zombies chase us I am tripping you. Great minds taste alike. This is my favourite - Zombies make great pets. They already know how to play dead. hahahahaha LOL. I love it. There are many many more that the lovely ladies came up with. Thanks everyone.

I will be back with photos of the party over the next couple of days. I think I will have a big hangover tomorrow so will most likely be Monday.

Thanksgiving name cards

Oh wow how forgetful of me. I truly lost track of time. My poor little girl has been sick with stomach pains all afternoon so hoping you will forgive my tardiness.

At Simply Betty Challenges we all need to create 'Thanksgiving Name cards'. I thought I would use the Jude and Shenanigans Crew Thankgiving images for this challenge. I printed out the images, die cut them with my trusty nesties and then got my handy chocolate Spica pen out and did the border and names with it. Hope you get some inspiration from my creations.

I think that this stamp and the other Steampunk images from Simply Betty are perfect images for so many occasions. I thought I would make this to stand up in my craft area. Hopefully it will give me some inspiration to keep going even if I fail.

Box with the lot

Good morning Copic lovers.

Hope we are all enjoying the wonderful challenges we have

had for you all here at Mad for Markers. We have all certainly loved

showing you all the things that you can make other than cards.

Today I would like to show you a box I altered and put a gorgeous

TGF stamp on coloured with Copics (of course).

This box started out as a pepper grinder box. I just covered in DP

and attached a coloured image to it. Simple - right...!!!!
