Just Magnolia #5

Well we are up to Week 5 at Just Magnolia with a great sketch from Naoual. Love how my card turned out. I just love the Chasing Butterlies range from Magnolia - in fact I love them all but just can't have them. LOL. Hope you like.

Inside of card

Products:Magnolia stamp;Memento ink; Copic markers; MME paper; Bazzill card; MM Slice machine and DC 1,2; Dimensional magic; MME buttons; SU Birthday Whimsy (retired) stamp set (for sentiment); Kaiser rhinestones.

This card I made by request. My bestie asked me to make a card for another good friend of hers so this is the finished product. Yes it is very bright but if you knew the girl who is receiving it then you would understand. My bestie's only request was that it have two Tilda's on the bench and lots of orange. Well you got it babe. Hope you like it.

Inside of card

products: Magnolia stamp;Memento ink; Touch & Prismacolor markers; SU Tangerine Tango textured card & Pink Passion card; Sassafras Lass paper; SU Basic Phrases stamp set; Prima flowers; Kindyglitz; MM Slice and DC3; SAMJ.

I found them

So sorry there are so many - but I have so many scrapbooking LO's and I just wanted to show you how I have progressed over the last 5yrs - Gosh that is a long time. LOL. Hope you like. The photos are terrible - I took these in the album and the flash kind of played havoc with them but I have so many that I just don't have the patience to take more photos.

This first one is my very first LO that I did. This is what got me into scrapbooking. Once I finished this and was happy with it I got hooked.

More Scrapbooking LO's

Good day to you all once again. I have been searching my network to try and find all my scrapbooking LO's that I have taken pics of but couldn't find the folder so had to just display the last of the ones on my laptop. I will be doing some cards tonight so stay tuned tomorrow.

This first LO is of my little miss. You can't really see the way she is sleeping - but gosh it would have been uncomfortable - her chest is completely on her legs and she is sound asleep. LOL.

Products- Card; BasicGrey, American Crafts & Fancy Pants paper; MME buttons; MM journalling spot.

I am not happy with this LO of Lachlan but I wanted to do something with him and when it was done I couldn't justify throwing it out so I have kept it.

Products- MME paper; MME monograms; Kaiser flowers; American crafts brads; MM Slice & DC3.

I did this as a doodling LO for Scrapbooking Memories magazine (australia) but it didn't get selected.

Big Brothers

Of late I have been neglecting my scrapbooking. I only got into cardmaking when a good friend showed me what she had been doing. Then I got a Stampin' Up catalogue and then I was hooked. My scrapbooking has taken a back seat so I decided it was time to do some more.

Here is a page I finished last night. It is a double 8.25" x 11" page. I bought a new American Crafts album and thought it fit A4 pages but it is slightly smaller - no matter as I was able to crop them down to fit the album. So here it is.
All products used on these pages are Stampin' Up.
Kraft, Pacific Point, So Saffron, Old Olive & Baja Breeze textured card.
Good Morning sunshine DSP.
Priceless stamp set.
Scallop border punch.
Pacific point ribbon.
Clear embossing powder.
Making Memories Slice machine & Design card 2.
Dimensional dots.

Digital Tuesday challenge

Digital Tuesday challenge this week is to make a card with non traditional folding or shape. I tried to achieve both here. I originally started out thinking I would just make a card out of the owl but couldn't figure out how to attach card to the back to make an actual card - in hindsight I now know how I could have done it but this works just as well. I truly enjoyed making this 'card' and the owl is just so damn cute. Again it is a digital stamp from Dustin Pike.

I will try and explain how I made this card but I didn't write down a lot of the details.
- I printed the image 3 times - one on SU Going Grey, one on Basic grey and the last onto So Saffron.
- cut out the middle Going Grey for face and chest and the detail on the wing.
- Cut out the beak with a craft knife and put in the So saffron. Cut out the feet/claws of the SS and attach with two way glue.
- Put the owl all together and highlight with white gel pen.
- Get an A4 piece of blue card and score at 5.5", turn over and score at 11". Fold the score lines so the 11" fold is pointing up.
- Cut an A4 piece of brown card (I used Chocolate chip) down to 8 1/4" x 7 1/4". Score it at 2" & 5 1/4". Turn over the card and score at 3 3/4" & 6 1/4".
- Cut out some brown card to make a tree trunk and some green card (I used SU Old Olive) to make some leaves. Attach the trunk and draw black lines down to look like bark and highlight with white pen. Do the same for the the two folded sides facing out.
- Attach the leaves with dimensional dots/tape.
- Glue the owl with two way glue. (I cut out the so saffron owl just inside the lines and attached to the back with a 1" piece still underneath to add stability to the owl when folded out).
- Print/stamp sentiment and attach.
- Attach two way tape to the inside of the blue card lip and attach it to the largest folded part of the brown card.
- put dimensional magic onto the beak to make it stand out.

I really hope that all made sense. Hehehe it is my first attempt at a tutorial.
Hope you like the card.

Thanks for your support

Good morning everyone. I got this award from very talented and beautiful Cheryl. Of course in normal blog award style you have to pass it on to five people who come and visit your blog and comment regularly. Always no question about that at all.

Well it is early and my kids are still asleep so I decided I needed to jump on and check what everyone is up to. So cool to look at everyones blogs and I must admit that I hang out to see what everyone has created. Keep up the beautiful work ladies - you all truly inspire me - each and every one of you. Mwah

A Spoon Full of Sugar #51

A Spoon full of Sugar challenge 51 - Buttons Galore. What a change from an actual sketch. Had to put my thinking cap on but it was a bit of freedom that I really liked. My card was made with a Sarah Kay image. Not a stamp. Where you ask..??? A site called Coloring-Book. They have free coloring pages for kids - hey I am the biggest kid around. LOL. Card is Bazzill, paper - Making memories. I used MM ribbon and SU white ribbon and general household buttons - yep I found them around the house.

Sorry it is short and sweet but just wrote a huge post and then lost it all as DH decided to reset the modem just as I was going to publish and I lost it all.
Hope we all had a good day.

Bringing you Sunshine

Stamp with Fun #6 has a great sketch this week. There is a variation on the sketch that you could follow also but I chose just to stick with the first one. Hope you like. I used my Fairy Chloe from TGF. I think she is very cute. I coloured her with Touch, Prismacolor and Copic markers. I decided to use a different colour for her skin last night - Deco Peach but it didn't turned out very well. Too pink I think. The sentiment and butterfly are also from TGF. The DSP is from American Crafts and All my Memories. I also used Kaiser rhinestones, kindyglitz, Dimensional Magic and it is all on SU Riding Hood Red card and the sentiment is in SU Real Red.

I am a little stuffed up again today so thinking that this cold is coming back. Grrrr....!!! Don't you just hate that. Off to Mothers Group today and then a nice relaxing arvo at home. Hope you all have a good day.
