Acetate fun

Morning all. Is it Friday already....???? LOL. The weekends go so quickly and the weeks so slowly. Oh well at least I have my card making to keep me occupied.

Okay on to my card. This month at Just Magnolia we have been asked to use Acetate on your creation. I couldn't figure out what to do and then a light went off. I hadn't used my Magnolia Doo-hickey Peony's yet so here they are in their glory. I love die cutters. They are just so easy to use. I thought I would go with an easel card. The card size is 4"x6". I find it hard to find 6x6" envelopes and I do not have a scor- pal so this size will have to do.
The whole image was coloured with Prismacolor pencils. I do like using the pencils but just can't seem to get the skin colour quite dark enough. If anyone has alternatives to Light Peach, Peach and rosy pink let me now - that would be helpful.
This stamp is one of my first and still favourite Magnolia stamp. She is gorgeous. I just love how shy and loving she looks.
Close up of the Peony's.

Trace this is so pretty. The lace so compliments the flowers and that adorable little heart in the centre! You coloured beautifully with prismas. One colour I was advised to use (at a prisma class) was Henna for the edge of the cheeks and a little shading around her face. I tried it and it seems to work! I think you have done a great job though!!!

Your card is so pretty with the lace and pearls Trace - fabulous work.
I got a bunch of square cards from www.cutcardstock.com.
They are overseas but I found they were still cheaper and had the best deal compared to anyone in Aust. Hope this helps you out - it's nice to make square cards too.
