Friday Sketch Challenge DT call

Morning all. Just doing a shout out to everyone to see who would be interested in being on the DT for the new Friday Sketch challenge that I started. Please pop by to the blog when you can and start following the blog. I will be putting up details very soon on the specifics of the new challenge. At this stage the DT will be split in to two teams so that the two groups only have to do a sketch twice a month. Colouring chibi/anime eyes

I have had many enquiries on how to colour the eyes on most of our stamps at Spesch so I thought I had better do a tutorial on it. More like a show and tell as there isn't much to it really. Below are three photos showing my progress with the eyes.

Colour the whole eye with a light colour. I used B21

Grab a darker colour and put it in the middle. I used B02

Lastly I grabbed my 0.5 liner and coloured her iris.

Here is the whole image coloured.

If you want to get tricky you could go darker in the middle and blend with the lighter colour but I like the colour to be close so I don't blend (most of the time).

Totally Gorjuss sketch challenge

Morning. It is hump day. Woo hoo. Yay...!!!!

For today I thought I would show you a card I made for the Totally Gorjuss challenge with the above sketch. I thought it was fitting to use a Gorjuss girl stamp (from Santoro). I have a lot of them now but still don't have all of them. One day maybe. LOL. Waiting for the LSS to start stocking them so I can get the rest. Enjoy your day.

On a totally unrelated topic - I have been scouting blogland and have become obsessed with looking at gorgeous handmade teddy bears. I found '100 Best Bear Artist Blogs' and this is a wabbit made by Ina at Bears'n'Roses. As much as I would love to make something a gorgeous as this I don't know whether I could manage it. There is a lot of work involved in bear making. Felting is one that I would love to learn. Sounds like it would be hard but well worth it. If you look at those gorgeous paws you will see what 'Felting' is. It is 'sculpting' with felt/wool pretty much.

Spesch Release Day - Fairytale & Max stamps

Good morning everyone. Once again we are here with a new release from Spesch Designer Stamps. We have three gorg stamps from Christina and four Max/Goth stamps from Max. Everyone loves them hey....????!!!! I must say that I adore the new stamps especially today's stamp which is 'Goth Girl with Cat'.

Preview Day 2 - Goth boy & Cinderella

Good morning. Wow it is the weekend. The weeks seem to go so quickly and I reckon the older I get the quicker it goes. Before I know it - BAM - it will be the start of another week. Phew. Better make it worth it huh....!!! LOL.

Today I have another preview for you for Spesch Stamps.

We have 'Goth Boy with ring' by Max and 'Cinderella' by Christina. I must admit that I do love both of them very much but the Goth Boy is a favourite. Talk about Emo. LOL. Cinderella is too cute to boot and is perfect on any type of card (I reckon).

Again this week for my Mad for Markers Thursday I used the sketch from the challenge - go here to see the details but be quick as you only have a couple days left before the challenge ends. I used Miss Bonnie from the new Blush range from TGF. Again what a cutie. Can't wait to get my hands on more.

Kraft Fun

Afternoon everyone. You know when you make a card and forget what challenge it was for until it was too late....?? Well I did it again. This card was made with the sketch from Mojo Monday. Damn - I missed the deadline so here it is.

I stamped this cutie on Kraft in Rich Cocoa ink for something different. Coloured her with Copics but the 'sky' is with Prismacolor pencil.
