A challenge free day

Evening everyone. Well I decided today not to make any challenge cards. I made a card just for the sake of making a card. I have been neglecting my SU cardmaking so I thought today would be the perfect chance to make one. I used the Upsy Daisy set again. I just love the flower stamp in it. Here I have stamped with Versamark ink and used my SU gold embossing powder. I think it turned out really well. I originally did the embossing to make a mothers day card for my mum. I changed my mind. LOL. Typical Gemini. I love the colours of the Urban Oasis DSP and the Not Quite Navy card. I also used Old Olive card. There you have it. I think it is a lovely card.

Thanks for stopping by.

Tilda & Friends ATC Challenge

This week at Tilda and Friends ATC Challenge the theme is May Flowers. Great theme. I loved making this one. I used my new Magnolia stamp from Bizzy Becs. I used the Stampin' Up Patterns Pack II - Apricot Appeal colour. I also used Making Memories ribbon and Prima flowers and a couple of beads. I am very happy with the way it turned out. Hope you like.

Look what I got....!!!!!

Do you know how excited I am...??? You could probably picture it. I got the air brush as an early birthday present from my MIL and the markers are from the kids for Mothers Day. I had to chose them anyway as Mick had no idea what to buy me. Now I have to have a play with the air brush. I didn't realize it would get so cold. LOL. I also have to figure out how to use it properly. I am so excited. This is just the cheaper air brush as a starter but it will do for now. If I get better at it then I will definately upgrade to the better/bigger one. I got these all from Mango Arts in Oz. They are absolutely brilliant. They have the best prices and they are so good. I had a Copic Sketch marker that was just bleeding everywhere and they replaced it in a flash and sent me a prepaid envelope to send the faulty one back. I suspect that the nib of the marker wasn't in properly. I have no idea about these things though. Anyway. There is my excitement for the day. Oh - and I only ordered online yesterday and I got today - how brilliant is that. If you are after Copic markers in Australia they are the place to buy. :)

Papertake Weekly Challenge

Hello and welcome to another challenge for Papertake Weekly. Another great sketch from Dawny. I must admit that I toiled and toiled over these digi stamps by Dustin Pike. I played with the idea of having the images layered, so you could flip across the first and second image to reveal the final image but I couldn't work out the logistics of it. I have seen it before on someone elses blog and didn't take note of whose it was so I couldn't go back and take a peek to see what/how it is done. Nevermind. I am happy with the card and the inside as well. I think it is pretty cute. I haven't done a lot of male cards so I thought this little monkey would be the perfect little image for a birthday card for a boy/male. Hope you like.

For you MUM on Mothers Day

My Mum watched me making a couple of cards this past weekend and I think she thought it was quite interesting but she is not into crafts etc herself so I decided I would make her a Tilda card even though she would also appreciate a tradition - non pretty card. So here it is.

I am combining two challenges today as I seem to have lost a little of my mojo. Don't you just hate that. Magnolia Down Under Challenge which is a theme of Mothers Day Card and Stamp with Fun with a challenge of making a card that is 4 x 8". Pretty simple I think. So there you go. Hope you like it.

Here is my little miss. Thought I would just show you this photo as it is at the start of a tantrum. She is the cutest damn thing in the world even when she is having a tantie. LOL.

It has been one of those days today. I feel tired and run down even though I am over my bad cold now. I was sick of not being able to breathe thru my nose. All better now. In the middle of watching Supernatural tonight - good thing I can multitask and touch type at the same time as watching the tv. Must be a woman thing.

products: Magnolia stamp; Memento Tuxedo black ink; SU Pink Pirouette card; Sassafras Lass paper; SU Chocolate chip card; SU Chocolate Chip ribbon; Fiskars Lace border punch; computer for sentiment; dimensional dots; Touch & Prismacolor markers.

To My Friend

Must admit that I have been a bit slack this weekend with the card making but my folks have been here visiting so a couple of cards will have to do for now. They leave soon so I will have to make a few more cards - especially a mothers day card for my mum.

I did this card for Friday Sketchers Challenge 50. Just love the sketch this week and I was able to use one of my Gorjuss Girls - even better LOL. So here she is. Hope you like. Dare U to Digi Stamp Friday Challenge

I came across this Challenge blog yesterday when I was blog hopping and thought it was a great concept to use just Digi stamps.

So here is the card for Dare U 2 Digi Stamp Friday Challenge. The sketch is to the right. I like it. I did leave my card very simple as I didn't want too many patterns etc. I found this great Digi stamp at Dustin Pike's blog. He has some great digi stamps to purchase so go over to his blog and them his Etsy store. You won't be disappointed. I think he draws the cutest things but also has some great masculine images - which can be hard to find sometimes. Enjoy.

Just Magnolia Challenge #3

I am just loving Just Magnolia's Challenges. They are so great and this sketch is no exception. What a great sketch. So here is mine. Had to have a play with my new Magnolia stamp that I purchased from Bizzy Becs. Hmmm not much else to tell ya. Hope you like.

A Fairy for Kayleigh

This gorgeous digi stamp is from Paper Makeup Stamps. Ain't it just so sweet. It is a charitable stamp and it doesn't cost that much plus the added bonus is that it is a digi stamp so you can print any size you want. Pop on over and read about Kayleigh. It is worth spending the money. :)

On to the card. I have combined two challenges today. Getting lazy. LOL. Stamps and Smiles have a great sketch for The Fresh Batch and I combined it with Cute Card Thursday with a theme of Mirror Mirror - use something shiny. I decided to use my new Heidi Grace foil paper which I fell in love with when I saw it. Of course I had to use my new digi stamp.

The Basic Grey card behind the image has dimensional magic on it and it is nice and shiny too but you can't see in the photo. Unfortunately it is night here and I wanted to get it on today. Hope you like it.
