Friday Sketchers #143

This week at Friday Sketchers they have this great sketch. Nice and clean and simple, which is perfect for this stamp I used with the sketch.

This stamp is called Pink Lightening and is a new line of stamps that Crafts & Me are carrying. I love Jasmine Beckett- Griffith's art and this is one of her painting. There are many more painting - amazing painting. In fact I love her art so much that I got a tattoo of her 'Hope' fairy from her Hope and Despair painting (see photo below of the outline). Hope you like. I tried to colour her the same as the original painting and I did okay but could have been better.

The wings are coloured in with a black Copic Spica pen. So cool.

Copics used: Skin- E000, 00, 21, 02, 21 Hair - E50, 51, 53, 55, RV21, 23, 25, 29 Dress/stockings- RV21, 23, 25, 29, W5, W1. Wings- RV25, W3, black spica pen.

On a personal note - just letting you all know that I have had great success on my Zumba in Melbourne weight loss challenge - I have lost 5.6kgs in 6wks. So another 6wks to go and crossing my fingers that I win the mystery prize. LOL. bye for now.

Sketchy Colors #59

Morning everyone. Today I have a card for you that I made with the sketch from Sketchy Colors. I must say that when I received my Spring Stamp Kit from WOJ I was absolutely rapt. I love all the stamps and can't wait to ink them all up. I have however run out of Ez Mount so am waiting for it to arrive in the mail so I can mount them.

For this card I thought I would try some new. Pastel/vintage style- Swedish style. I used this DP from Prima called Jack and Jill which I have had for a while. She was quite easy to color - but why wouldn't she be when she is just so gorgeous. Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Products: WOJ stamp; SU Oval All stamp; Prima Jack and Jill DP; SU card; Vintage Sepia ink; Prismacolor pencils for shading; Copics used; skin - E000, 00, 21, 02, Dress - R0000, R00, R11, R21, R81, R85, W5, W3, Hair - E50, 51, 53, 55, Sleeves - Boooo, B01, B02, R81, 85; Kaiser adhesive pearls; I am Roses flowers.

Friday Sketchers #142

Good afternoon. Sorry for the additional post today but I thought I had better get a post up today with this card as it was made with the Friday Sketchers sketch and that ends tomorrow. So here she is. Tilda and her party balloons. I was lucky enough to snap these up from Bizzy Becs. I really don't know if I like any of the others but they may have to be some that go on my wish list but for now I got these two. I really loved using these papers from Bo Bunny - you all know that I love bright colours. Enjoy my sweets. See you tomorrow with another post (shock horror LOL).

Princess?

Good morning everyone. I am here on another Thursday
with 'hopefully' some inspiration for you all. At Mad for Markers
our monthly Challenge is Crazy Hair. Please join us
if you haven't already.

Now I coloured this image for the challenge (of course) but when I had
finished the hair it so did not match the DP. Hmmm what to do. Well
the best thing about Copic markers is that you can colour over
dark colours and it still won't contaminate the marker colours.
Go to list of Copics to see what I used for the hair to fix.

Copics used:
Hair: R59, R46, R43, R29 (to fix colour).
Skin: E000, E00, E21, E02
Crown/dress: R0000, R00, R20, R32
Boots: W9, W7, W5, W3.

Never Never Never Give Up

Hello everyone! Thank you for stopping by today...
The girls from Simply Betty Challenges and I are excited to share
with you the wonderful stamp that Betty
designed for Katie!

Many of you may know all about Katie's battle with cancer, however if you don't please go here:http://www.help4katie.blogspot.com/

Katie is an amazing woman and we are all very proud to have been allowed to help. You can help too! All you have to do is make a $15 donation, and you get this lovely stamp collection:

Here is what I made with her:

I had my Grandmother pass away from Cancer and it
was a horrible time - not only because we found out
that she had the disease but that she knew it and
totally gave up. We were all so sad at that
time and even though I wasn't close to her I
still felt the pain. Please help us help Katie but making
a donation.

40th Birthday surprise

When the gorgeously talented Christy Croll from Tiddly Inks asked 40 people to volunteer to make a card for her good friend Kellie's 40th Birthday I jumped at the chance. Kellie's favourite colours are Red, Black and White together and even though Christy gave us all who volunteered some fabulous digital papers I couldn't go past my Bo Bunny DP that I bought for all those Valentine's cards that I didn't make LOL. Here is the card I made for Kellie. Hope she likes it.

Back of the card.
Don't you just love those Kids Quotes from Inkadinkadoo. I have two sets of them and haven't had much of chance to use them so thought this was perfect.

Don't toss it, use it.....!!!!

we are challenging you to RECYCLE. Come on how easy is that..
Don't toss it, Use it.
You can use scrap leftover paper, packing from paper, embellishments, bits and pieces of leftover embellishments or anything craft or non craft related.
It's up to you, just have fun with it and use things in a way you would never even think
to use on your creations.

Here in my house I put all my scraps in a box that sits on a chair
next to me however they do normally
get given to the kids as I always forget to use
the scraps in the box. On my
search for stuff for this card I found lots
of paper I forgot I still had bit of so I hope I can
come up with some cards with them soon.

Here is my recycled creation:
I used Alex from the Sweet Gothic World Kids line and
you can find him here.
