Sketch Saturday meets Colour Create

It has been a while since I did a male card. I am not very good at them as I know a lot of people aren't. I gave it a go - not entirely happy with it but it will have to do. I followed the sketch from Sketch Saturday #50 and used the theme from Colour Create of Green & blue. I have had this dragon from Dustin Pike for a while but never have been able to get it right for some reason.
I airbrushed the sky with my Copic Airbrush System that I got as an early birthday present. I am still trying to work out how to use it properly. As for the paper - that is SU Brocade Blue card & Windsor Knot DSP. I also used my 1 1/4 and 1" punches for the circles. I printed the sentiment on my computer. The Dragon is mounted with dimensional dots.

Thinking of you is easy

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #11 - Thinking of You.
As usual I had a great time making this card. I made it with DH in mind and I am sure he would love it if I gave it to him, so I think when I am feeling like he is MIA I will give it to him. LOL. Any card I give to him goes down a treat.

I love the poem. I got it on the internet. If you can't read it - it says: Thinking of you is easy, I do it everyday. Missing you is the heartache, That never goes away. Beautiful quote isn't it. I just love it. The author is unknown
hence why I didn't put it under the quote.

I had a great mothers day and spending the arvo with my MIL and her mum 'Nanna' was great. They really enjoyed having us there. Can you believe DH's uncles and aunts were all too busy to visit their own mum. I thought it was a bit slack but that is okay. They have their own children to celebrate with them. Gosh I just realized I didn't ring my mum. Ooops. Just rang her. Phew.

Products: Magnolia stamp; memento Tuxedo black ink; Copic markers; SU Bashful Blue card; Kaisercraft paper; Kaisercraft flowers; 1/4" circle punch; Dimensional dots; SU Going Grey card; making Memories Slice & DC1.

BasicGrey Challenge 34 - Anthea's sketch

As the title says - BasicGrey Challenge 34 - Antheas Sketch. I really liked this sketch but I chose to put onto it's side and do that way. I love BasicGrey papers - all paper except the white card is BasicGrey. Of course I had to use my Gorjuss Girl with these colours and I used my Stampin' Up Priceless set for the sentiment and the flowers. Still can't seem to ge the shading of the markers right but I am slowly getting there.

Will probably be back tonight with another card. LOL. Mwah..!!

Happy Mothers Day

Happy Mothers Day to all the beautiful and talented mothers in Australia and NZ. Hope you get spoilt on your day and you get lots of hugs & kisses from your children. I have had an awesome morning so far. I got my Copic markers, two pair of PJ's and a special mug made by Tyler and a great little book made by Lachlan - they made them at daycare. Very special when they can give you something they made themselves. Will post photos later today. We are off to my MIL's just after lunch to spend some time with her and then it is home again for a quiet arvo I think. I think takeaway is in order tonight - coz I am not cooking. LOL.

mwah to everyone even if it isn't mothers day for you.
much love

Friday Sketchers & Just Magnolia

This week Friday Sketchers are celebrating their anniversary. Happy birthday Friday Sketchers and they have a great prize and some great incentive to play along. The DT will send out their card they made for the challenge and a RAK to a random winner. How cool is that. Why don't you play along. It is such great fun.

To the right is the sketch for this week. I love it. I had a brilliant time doing this challenge and combining it with Just Magnolia. Onto that now. This week Just Magnolia have a challenge of In Stitches. Stitching - now this can be faux stitching, hand stitching, machine stitching, whatever takes your fancy. So I did lots of stitching and discovered how some of my stitches from my sewing machine actually look when they are sewed. LOL. Taken me a while.

I just thought I would include a closeup of the stitching and a pic of the inside of the card. Enjoy.

Sketch Saturday

Thought I had better do a card for Sketch Saturday before this weeks challenge ended. I used my new The Greeting Farm Wild Sprout - Dahlia stamp - ain't she just adorable. I loved this sketch and kept putting it off all week so here it is.

On another subject - how silly do I feel...??? I didn't even realize I had won Stamp with Fun #4 - random winner. What a dill I am...!!!! LOL. Anyway I visited their blog and found my name sitting there so I have sent my details off.

Dare U 2 Digi Stamp Challenge #6

Dare You to digi stamp challenge this week is Post Pals, Gingham and stitching. Great idea. Now I have to just decide which child to send the card to.

I will start with the details though. I purchased this stamp (and 17 others) from Funky Fairys Download Shop. I got 9 images of The Funky Fairy and all those 9 images with a striped frame with it. Very good value. The gingham paper is actually a download from Canon Creative Park which have free print materials. They have kits, calendars, paper projects - so if you are looking for free stuff go have a look. The stitching on the card is faux stitching. I couldn't get the sewing machine out with the kids ATM but wanted to get this card done today so that will have to do. Hope you like.

Products: Funky Fairy digi stamp; TGF Hope & Grace sentiment; SU Rose red & Regal Rose card; Creative park downloaded paper; Cuttlebug (don't know the plate name as it was done by a friend); MM Slice & DC1; Zig writer and white Signo pen.

Stamped Image Swap

I am absolutely obssessed with cute images ATM so was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing a stamped image swap. So all we need to do to swap is to stamp an image a couple of times and send to each other. I would love to get some Penny Black or more Whiff of Joy images but anything I don't have would be great. If you are interested just let me know via email - booyagirl@optusnet.com.au. If you do email me please let me know what stamps of mine you would like. I must admit I don't have the biggest collection of stamps but slowly building up. TIA
