I {heart} U

Evening everyone. It is Friday evening and that means one thing. Yep you guessed it. It is time for another Simply Betty Challenge. This weeks challenge is called 'Scene It'. Look at the scene above and try and recreate it with Simply Betty Stamps. For this one I decided to use the gorgeous Back to School Emo's. This is Lola and Christian. Thought it would be fun to create a scene with the boy looking a little peeved but with the girl with admiration in her eyes so these two were just perfect. I had to draw some lockers so it looked like a school scene and coloured them blue to match the colour of the blue fence in the 'Scene it ' pic. Hope you like.

check out the other DT's amazing work here.

Penny in the tub

Hey everyone. Today is release day over at Spesch Designer Stamps. We have more of Penny for you. This one is Bathtub Penny. I just love this cutie. We also have Penny Shopping, Penny having coffee and Powersuit Penny. Good stamps for new job, relaxing etc etc.

I made this card for Sketch Saturday but I turned it on it's side. This DP from Sassafras Lass is just perfect with this stamp. Hope you like. Enjoy your friday.

Winona making a scene

Good morning everyone. Today is Thursday so it is Mad for Markers day for me and I am bringing you a creation made with Winona digital stamp available from Spesch Stamps. The background stamp is from Make it Crafty - it is called Hilly Lane. You can pick it up here. I combined the two stamps together in Paint.NET which is available free - click here for the download link. This card was made for the Friday Sketchers sketch.

Copics used:
Grass- G20, G21, G24
Trees- G24, G26, G28, E33 E35
Path - E31, 33, 35
Skin- E000, E00, E21
Winona - B00, B01, YR18, YR14, R22, R20
Other: C5, C3, C1

Don't know if I am overly happy with the way this card turned out. Personally I think there is too many patterns in the card but I wanted to use this DP from American Crafts. It has been clogging up some of my space and wanted to get rid of it. I just about a third of it so the rest is going to my kids for their 'cutting and pasting'. They get their crafting talent from me I think LOL. Enjoy your day.

Altered Notebook

Afternoon ladies. Hope you are all going well. I thought I would show you the altered notebook that I did for the competition at TGF. You have to 'alter a notebook'. Pretty simple. This is actually a mini album but has pages in it that you can write on - more like a journal.

Blank notebook.
Fabric and chipboard to work with.
back of the chipboard before I stuck it down.
This is the chip covered and the other stitched fabric
and lace ribbon to go with it.
Finished front. I loved how it turned out.
Close up of the sentiment stamped with Brilliance ink from
the 'In The Spotlight' scrapbooking set. I put
glossy accents on the flowers.
Closeup of the danglies.
In other exciting news I had two of my cards chosen for the Cards for a Stamp Swap. I am so excited. I was jumping for joy when I got an email this morning yay. LOL. Have a good one.

Celebrate Somethings

Evening everyone. Phew what a week of posts I have had. LOL. So glad this is my last for the week and it is a ripper. LOL. This is Filmore Fox Icecream Treat Digital Stamp from Sweet 'n Sassy who is our sponsor this week at Stamp Something, which has a challenge of Celebrate Somethings. I must admit I thought this stamp was a raccoon for some reason (hello dope look at the title hahaha) so he was coloured in greys but I guess he could be a grey fox (although have never seen one before). I guess it shows the flexability of stamps - that they don't have to be what they are.

Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Not a card

Hello and welcome to another Simply Betty Challenges.

Halloween is here, and since we have already begun seeing cards all over blog land let's create something other than a Halloween card... anything Halloween, just not a card!

I love Halloween but here in Australia we don't
celebrate it. We have had the odd child come to the
door on the night but not much at all. I wish we
did.

I thought I would make some nice tags and treat bag
toppers for some lollies that I bought for my kids. They love
these lollies - in fact I do too especially the Red Skins. LOL.

1st Day of Halloween

Hello again today. Over at Simply Betty Challenges and The Burtonesque Dolls
we have a fun Halloween challenge called - "12 Days of Halloween".
There are prizes for all those that enter. You have a full day to get your entries
in to win the prize.

Why don't you pop in to Simply Betty Challenges to see the full gory details.

1st day of Halloween: On the first day of Halloween my Ghoul Love gave to me; one Skellington Head! Use skeletons anywhere on your project.

I decided to use Tootsie from the Punky Teens collection over
at Simply Betty Stamps - can be found here.

The DP used on this card is from Imaginesce Hallowhimsy collection which
is from last year. I am spewing as I got this as part of a blog
candy but we can't buy the DP here in Australia. Boo hoo.

Anyway enjoy.
Stay tuned for 2 more posts today.

Crafting Life's Pieces Challenge

Afternoon everyone. This afternoon I have a card I made for the Crafting Life's Pieces Challenge for October. Now the reason I have a card made with this sketch already is that Spesch Stamps is sponsoring the challenge. We are giving one lucky person 3 digi stamps or 2 clear stamps as a prize. How cool it that....!!!!

I thought I would use Little Elf from Spesch Stamps as I have not used him before. He is just such a cutie. Shhhhhh he will be available in Rubber very soon. Check out the Spesch DT or CLP DT creations at the Spesch Blog.

This is the first of four cards I will be posting today. Stay tuned.
