Day 10 - 12 Days of Sketches

OMG it is the last day of 2009. Can you believe how quickly this year has gone. I didn't even think I would be doing what I am doing this time last year. I was a serious scrapbooker but when I discovered SU and Magnolia's in Feburary I was hooked on making cards. Wow. I guess I have to have a New Years resolution. This one will be a crafting one. My resolution is to actively try and sell my cards instead of them gathering dust in a box somewhere. LOL. There ya go.

Okay on to my card. Hahahaha. This is The Greeting Farm 12 Days of Sketches - Day 10. Phew. We are nearly there. Can you believe it....???? I know I can't. LOL. Alright alright. Enough crap from me. hahahaha. Had to use another Twinkle Tot. I have one more to go but will most likely be using the New Years bear that Marina gave everyone for free. Stay tuned I may have a couple.
It is stinking hot here already and have the air con on and it is only 9am. Phew. Not a good nights sleep here. Just too warm but cold with air con. Can't win. Hope it is not too hot or too cold where you all are. Have a great night and make it a safe one.

Glitter glitter everywhere

Good morning everyone. I know it is Wednesday but Elizabeth asked us to have our creations done by today so I am posting a day earlier than normal for Softpencil. This image is called ' We made a Snowman'. Isn't it adorable....!!!! I think so anyway. Our design element with this image was to use 'Glitter/liquid applique/flock etc'. So I did two of those. I used liquid applique for the snow under the characters and snowflakes falling and Stickles Ice Glitter for the snowflakes. I also used 3D Kindyglitz for an outline on the image.

Enjoy your hump day. Only one more day of the week and then another long weekend. Woo hoo.

Day 9 - 12 Days of Sketches

Wow we are up to Day 9 of the 12 Days of Sketches at The Greeting Farm. I am having so much fun playing along with these sketches. I must admit that I have most of my images coloured with DP ready to go - just have to wait for the sketches. I guess that is the only way to do it really - isn't it.....????!!!!!! LOL.

I bought this chibi as I wanted it to make a birthday card for my little girl but decided not to use it. I bought this DP on Monday when I went to the big Scrapbooking store near me and knew as soon as I saw it what image it would look perfect with. I love the colours and it meant that I could colour her up in lots of colours. Perfect birthday card I reckon.
I had all intensions of making lots of cards in the holidays at night when my kids were in bed but hubby and I started watching True Blood and we are hooked. We just finished Season 1 and are probably going to watch Season 2 as we got it from one of hubby's workmates. We also have Dollhouse to watch and a new series (to us) Santuary. I hope that is good too. Oh and we are also in the process of watching Stargate Atlantas. Wow lots of shows to watch that we have recorded which leaves not a lot of time for cardmaking. Hence why I have been colouring images during the day and whipping up a card as quickly as I can. Hope it doesn't show in my cards. Okay enough for now. Stay tuned. I have a Softpencil card to show you today too.

Day 8 - 12 Days of Sketches

Good morning. Gosh the time flew over the weekend and hubby is back at work now :( wish he had more time off. The kids love having him home (and so do I). At least I got to pop down to the big SB store and buy me some more DP yesterday.

This card was made for The Greeting Farm 12 Days of Sketches Day 8. I decided to use another Twinkle Tot - Izzy. She is so cute but I couldn't colour her with dark skin as I think she looks good with lighter skin. What do you think...?? Maybe just me.

I got a little sad yesterday when I saw the announcement on TGF saying they would not be doing Gardener calls anymore. I really do love their stamps and to have the chance to be on their DT has been a dream of mine since I discovered their stamps. Boo hoo. Oh well. I guess I just keep chugging along and using their gorgeous stamps.

Day 7 - 12 Days of Sketches

What a wonderful Christmas we had here. Had a nice relaxing Boxing Day and yesterday went to the BIL's for our small Christmas gathering. DS3 didn't want to come home. LOL. Typical but we have to come home sometime. Hehehe. They love their Uncle.

Hmmm my card. I really love how this turned out. I decided that I needed to use one of my Twinkle Tots that has not seen any ink. Shock horror. I have just bought so many stamps lately. Gotta curb my spending. LOL. Anyway - this is for The Greeting Farm 12 Days of Sketches - Day 7. I love this sketch and thought I would try something a little different when doing the image. I stamped her twice and cut out the oval with my nestie. When I coloured the bottom image I only coloured around the edges where you can see the image (see bottom photo). I wanted to do this instead of whacking her on the oval just to make the card a little bit more special. I got a stipple brush and some ink and inked the whole oval including the image at the bottom.
The brads on the flowers were coloured with a Copic marker to match the pink of her dress.
It is the Boxing Day holiday here in Australia. Hubby has the day off again today and is having a sleep in. Hopefully I will be able to pop down to the big Scrapbooking store today and pick up some more DP. Have a good one.

Day 6 - 12Days of Sketches and FFF

Good morning. Wow what a wonderful Christmas we had here in this household. The kids were super duper excited and were - literally - jumping for joy when they saw all the presents from 'Santa' under the tree - especially their new bikes. It was a good relaxing day - no stress and just spending time with the kids and their new toys. Was lots of fun to watch them open their presents. Hope everyone elses was as wonderful as ours.

Okay okay on to my card. Made for The Greeting Farm Day 6 of the 12 Days of Sketches and also Farm Fresh Friday. I wanted to do a card like this of 'Jacob' for a little while and finally got him done. I just love this wolf stamp and love this digital stamps from TGF. The sentiment, paw prints and wolf all came from Artful Inkables. I just love these stamps.
Just thought I would show you a couple photos of my kids on Christmas day. Must admit that even though I would love to have a white Christmas it is so nice to be able to go outside and enjoy the beautiful summer weather on Christmas day.

Here is my 'Princess'.
Lachlan on his new Ben 10 bike - saying "Cheese".
Tyler on his bike - he looks like he is in pain. I tell ya it is so hard to get a good photo of the boys they just don't smile properly.

MERRY CHRISTMAS AUSSIE STYLE

MERRY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL AND YOUR FAMILIES

Now this is a typical Aussie Christmas picture. As we celebrate Christmas in Summer all the snow and snowflakes isn't really appropriate for here so thought I would try and find an image like this. Ain't it cute. I got it at frzdragon on DeviantArt.

I was blessed this year to have so many blogging friends and fellow DT members who wanted to swap cards and spread the holiday cheer. I will show you the creations I got from the MDU team and the others I will hopefully show you tomorrow. These are shown in the order I got them.
Made by Debbie. This is gorgeous. It is taking pride of place on our Christmas tree.
Made by Debra. This looks even more stunning IRL. Look at all that detail. It is so cute as it is supposed to be a door to everyone's house. Too cute.
Made by Kellie. I have to keep this out of reach of my kids as they love the bell. You should see the other gorgeous present I got with this - a personalized stamp.
Made by Jodie. I was absolutely blown away by these. That snow globe is gorgeous.
Made by Kristy. This is super duper gorgeous. I just love love love it.
Made by Stephanne. This arrived today with some yummo Cocoa (which I can't wait to try) and some gorgeous flowers.

THANKS SO MUCH GIRLS - IT WAS A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH YOU ALL THIS YEAR AND LOOK FORWARD TO THE NEXT.

Day 5 - 12Days of Sketches

Good afternoon. Phew - been one of those days. Oh it must be Christmas eve LOL. Been grocery shopping, vaccuumed, mopped and done all the dishes. I tell you I haven't stopped all day and I still forgot to get some things from the supermarket so have to go back in later. Grrrr.....!!!!!

This will be the first of two posts. I am going to show you all the gorgeous gorgeous cards I have received in the mail from my fellow MDU DT members and blogging friends.

First though I better show you the card I made for The Greeting Farm 12 Days of Sketches Day 5 sketch. I turned it on it's side so that I could fit in Edward and 'Bella' on to the card. I just love these digi stamps. The sentiment stamp is from Artful Inkables. I tell you what I have had these stamps along with Twlight stamps from there and still haven't had the chance to use them. Maybe after Christmas.

Personalised stamps are always there for pre-order and there are always gorgeous and must have collections coming out with Magnolia and Magnolia Ink…… The list for any Magnolia lover is endless.

So pop over here and give her something she will love you for….. HERE….

Day 4 - 12 Days of Sketches

Good morning.

Another day of Sketches over at The Greeting Farm. This is Spring Fairy or as my Mr 4.5 says - Mermaid fairy as he thinks she looks like a mermaid. She sorta does LOL. Anyway. You know when you colour an image with papers in mind and when you put it all together it just doesn't seem right....??? Well this is the card for me this week. Everything I did with this just didn't work the way I wanted at all so I ended up just putting all the DP down and just going with it. I know we are our own worst critics but this is just - I won't be nasty to myself hehehe.
Anyway - another day closer to Christmas. Gosh it is just coming up so quickly. What a horrible time of year huh. I hate being so busy. I am off to Chadstone Shopping Centre tonight to get all the kids stocking fillers - seeing the centre is open all night. Will give me a chance to get all the little things I need. Have to buy something for DH as well - even though he bought his own present already it would be nice to have his own present I am sure.

Loving Wishes

Hello sweet friends. Hope we are all well. I am feeling a little less tired today than yesterday. I think all the late nights and early mornings are starting to catch up on me. Typical. Maybe I can have a nice snooze during the day on Christmas day. LOL.

On to my card. I made this card with the sketch from Just Magnolia. I changed it up a little but it still looks a little like the sketch LOL. I just couldn't get my oval Nesties to work with this image so used a different one. Hahaha.

I love this image. She is perfect for all your LOVE cards and I am tempted to give this to a special friend but don't know who just yet. I am sure I will figure it out soon enough. LOL.

The gorgeous lace ribbon and the wire heart are both from Magnolia Down Under store. I bought myself some pearl pins on ebay the other day - I got two boxes of them and couldn't wait to use them but hadn't found a creation for them to go on. Here ya go. LOL. I am waffling aren't I....!!!! Oh well.

Day 3 - 12 Days of Sketches

Afternoon everyone. Always feels weird to be a day ahead of the most of the world - or at least a few hours LOL.

This card is for TGF 12 Days of Sketches Day 3. I am lucky enough to follow one of the DT and I spied the sketch a day early so I made this last night whilst everyone else in the house were watching crappy TV. Ahhhh....!!!! Thank god my parents don't care if I craft. What else is there to do if they are watching TV - Right....??? That is my excuse anyway. LOL.

I used Winter Fairy - or as my Hubby calls her - Sexy Fairy - and next TGF sketch will be Spring so I will have made all the seasonal fairies in to cards finally. Hahahaha. Sometimes I go overboard with the stamps and buy so many. Phew. Got my Maggies to ink up too. Really is not enough time in the day.
I feel like I am going to fall asleep here. Don't know why I am so tired. Must be the fact that my little girl woke at 6am crying and I brought her into bed with me but she didn't go back to sleep. Oh well.

Products: TGF digital Winter Fairy; Bo Bunny DP; Bazzill card; SU Bermuda Bay card and ribbon; Spellbinders Create a Flake; Copic Air brush system; white brad; Helmar Scrapdots.

MDUC #29 - No. 2

Sorry to bombard you with so many posts today but have got some serious Mojo happening so I decided to make a card for this fortnight's MDUChallenge. If you would like to know the details see this post. This fortnight we have a challenge to use a STAMP WITH ANOTHER USE - so you have to use say a Christmas stamp for a birthday card like I did. I masked off the candy canes on the stamp and drew in the uncompleted portion of the stamp with a Copic Fineliner.

I used the sketch from Sketch Saturday and just love how the card turned out. Woo hoo another birthday card. LOL.

Products: Magnolia stamp; SU DSP, card & ribbon; buttons; Martha Stewart border punch; SU Upsy Daisy stamp set; SU Riding Hood Red ink.
